Very nice OP your a lucky guy. I used to have a 30-30 that I would load up some "cowboy" rounds with IMR Trailboss. Those were fun as hell and basically sounded suppressed no ear pro needed and zero kick.

I would highly recommend the scout mount for it and a nice compact pistol scope.
Mine was a hand me down, killed lots of deer with that sucker, drops them where they stand. |

Freakin' awesome.
A woman that buys you guns is a keeper! I had a similar experience yesterday, but I don't want to horn in on your thread with pics lol. |

Shes a keeper all right.
You are lucky. And sweet 30-30 too. |

Awesome OP! If it weren't for the three young kids I have I'm sure my wife would do the same.

Remember now: you have to care for it, feed it every day, clean up after it and take it for walks.
And don't forget the puppy, too. |

So, across the street we go... I found this Marlin in there and told my wife that it was just like the one I had before but had traded. I told her how much I liked the gun and wished that I had never traded it. Not a nick or scratch anywhere on it, looked like a safe queen. The man at the gun shop told me $425.00 OTD. So after much himming and hawing, we go on our way empty handed. Two days later I came home from work and there it was! I know the rules, pic of the wife... on a water ride at Disney. http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u557/dennis2313/20141118_161410_zpsed681685.jpg View Quote That one is most definitely a keeper...... |

Very nice of her. Congrats on having a wife that's also your best friend. How long have you two been together?
