My wife and I really enjoyed the previous two Hunger Games movies and were eagerly looking forward to seeing the new release.
Sadly, this one was extremely slow and boring. The acting was high school level at best and downright pitiful at times, the decisions made by the "military", rebels and heroes of the film were laughable at best. It did have some powerful scenes near the beginning, but all in all its 2 out of 10 stars at best, it was really like a 2 hour long preview if that makes any sense. It tried to be powerful and dramatic but didn't deliver. I probably wouldn't even Redbox this one. Wait until it comes on HBO. Just my opinion, your opinion might vary.

I read and enjoyed the first two, as well as the movies. My wife advised not to consider wasting time with the 3rd book. Seems like as with all trilogies they're mailing it in by the 3rd one.

Well, in fairness, you left with only half the story told (since the 3rd book was split into two films). If you only watched an hour of the other two films it would probably be a similar review.

The movie was okay, the first two books/movies were good. After that, the series takes a huge plummet with the books on the third one. It gets weird, not necessarily confusing, bu a lot of "Well, why the fuck are they doing this? It makes no sense."

Spoiler Cant take down a bomber with multiple AA firing positions, but she can stand out in the open and shoot it down with a recurve bow, that is like a golden BB and all that. |
