Liberalism/socialism/progressivism is driven by weakness - feeling that you don't have the personal capability to defeat life's challenges so you need a big government to step in and help.

Most Hispanics come from socialist nations - Mexico, Central America and South America are socialist states. They want big government. They want a powerful federal government.

I actually believe that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness -- Tommy Jefferson. I would think that would be self-evident but it's not. The progressives have to divide us and create differences between us. Some Americans are too stupid to make it into college so that prop them up with special quotas so that the color of the college is diverse. Rather than celebrating what makes us Americans together they chastise that shared cultural history and seek to create a Balkanize America - you see their results daily in the General Discussion.

I think that Doctor Martin Luther King Junior had a pretty good idea when he said "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." The left judges people first by their color claiming that a white man can't possibly represent a black woman in congress as an example and that when a white cop shoots a black man that's important. Their is a whole industry around race and keeping the hate flowing. Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Louis Farrakhan are all royalty in the race baiters court.

Progressives/socialist want an end to the Constitution that constrains the President from ignoring the law, congress from taking our rights and liberties, and the courts from creating laws. Socialist want a big/huge low skilled/low wage class that needs services from a big government. Success only comes from government. If you're not white and not successful it's not do to your hard work or effort, it's because whitey is keeping you down ... big government will level that playing field ... but never ever does. They need more and more power, more and more taxes to create more and more victims.

Socialist don't want a Republic - rule by law, they want a Democracy - rule by the mob. When Abraham Lincoln (yeah yeah) said "This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it." He was right - the Constitution needs to be amended as designed forcing/restricting the government's ability to twist and tear at it. The people put in Article 5: The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments ... making it, on purpose, very difficult to change the Constitution. So difficult that the government - all three branches - have worked together to pervert two words in the Constitution to create entire federal departments.
