I'm skeptical about these CZ magazines retailing for $20 in the US since all the CZ factory pistol mags I've come across (not milsurp) have been on the high end.  The price of magazines is a major factor for people like me that like to have at least 10 spare magazines.  At these prics, I'm hopeful that SIG will come down in price since injection molding production is very low cost.

Except that the Sig mags aren't made by Sig, so they may not have much control over the cost of the mags.

Yep, Lancer-built mags. I hope they'll get down to the $40 range. Equally skeptical about the CZ mag price, but if they are that low, that would be awesome.

I'm not arguing the merits of the sig brace. If you want one, go for it. I want the factory stock. I'm well aware of the fact that would make it an sbr. Wouldn't be my first. The original factory configuration is way more appealing to some of us.

Yep.

I will be SBRing one for sure. The Sig brace is cool but not what I'm going for with this gun.

I'm checking my calendar to verify this isn't April Fools Day because I've never seen a major manufacturer offer a new OEM Proprietary 30 round magazine for $20 when releasing a new gun.  Their marketing department knows the price point to sell these guns so I hope manufacturing & shipping guys can keep up.

It also surprises me about the short window from announcement to proposed release date - unlike many letdowns from past teasers at SHOT.  This must be a kick in the gut to the guys at SIG.

Doubt they'll be hurting. I bet there is a nice fat margin on the braces, and already the fact that there is an adapter for it is telling. I bet a good number of these buyers get a brace too.

Will there be an official announcement on the 805 Bren anytime soon?  It sounded like the Scorpion and Bren were going to be released at the same time, so I would've assumed they would have said something about the Bren today as well.

I was hoping the Scorpion would be sold in the US, and now that it will be, I find myself wanting the Bren instead (at least first anyway).

Thanks, I just sent Vito an email. Also asked about potential availability of the OEM folding stock and how many mags it comes with (as well as capacity).
They might not even know that yet, since they haven't been received for distribution. We might not know until next year. Irregardless, I'm in on this one!

Any email back yet?

Never got a reply from Vito, besides the $995 seems to be a "premium" price. I'm ordering through my LGS instead.

Don't laugh, but I was wondering how good the AGS Airsoft version is. The gun is licensed by CZ and looks to function and
attach identical to the OEM stock. Maybe not a permanent solution, but might work for range time????

1. This is not a new gun

2. The euro cz website has 30rd mags listed for like 8 euros.

Another thing it's going to do is open the market up for their handguns.  They make wonderful handguns, but a lot of people have no idea that they even exist since they're not 1911s, Glocks or Hi Points.

Those are full of want for me too.

Mainly because I already have some .32 pistols, so fuck it....might as well justify a need for ammo with a vz 61 too.  Wish they were still bringing them into the country.

I can't believe it either.

I may end up with a few of these.

"I mean look at this thing. It's like a disgruntled former H&K employee walked into a CZ board meeting with an MP-5 and said "No one's leaving until you build me an MP-5 killer."
"Here's the kicker. The 30-round magazines are going for below 20-dollars each. That's nuts. Especially considering the student load prices magazines are going for these days."

ETA: Picture with Sig Brace and adapter.
