No one comes to my neighborhood.

It's tucked away and pretty well hidden so it's usually skipped over. That and it seems like trick or treating has completely died in swfl. Back in the early 2000's when I was still a kid it was always crazy busy, now streets are usually empty. Sad really.

Meh. The spirit is dead around here. No effort, just expectations. Not thankful. Strangers bringing in carloads.

I try to be an optimistic guy, but I'm leaving my lights off this year. YMMV

kids are smart, they prefer smaller homes closer together and less walking to maximize their candy intake

Wife reports we only had a dozen or so kids, but we're in townhouses...not that many kiddos in our AO...but the housing development right behind us was buzzing. Suits me fine, lots of Snickers bars left over for me.

Haven't had Trick or Treat in my hood for at least 15 years.  Hope it stays that way!

It was tonight from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.

I was very glad I bought enough candy.

Is this a regional thing?

Ive never heard of trick or treating on any day besides Halloween.

Tomorrow night but I live on a dead end gravel road out in the sticks.  Over the last 21 years we have had two kids come to the door so it will be pretty quiet here.  I still have four bags of candy though, you never know!

The raccoons and bears would be fine if you gave 'em candy any old time, but they only ever dress up like raccoons and bears.

My town had it tonight.

Instead of kids going house to house, the businesses in the center of town give out the candy.

The reason why is that we are a mostly rural county. There's 2 big towns and both do the same thing. And the neighborhoods actually in town are.. well... lets just say that a lot of them are Section 8 renters.

In Des Moines for some unknown reason, they do it tonight, the 30th.

Fucking bullshit IMO, trick or treating is for Halloween on the 31st.

It was tonight and lasted only an hour. I remember as a kid it ran from when we got out of school until the early morning hours. Two pillow cases full of candy. Now its complete shit.

Screw 'em, I pay for their groceries all year long. If they want candy they can use their damn EBT card. Little shits don't even bother with costumes anymore, just "gimme". Sorry, no more.

I found out entering my neighborhood that it was tonight.  Damn!

I had the candy in the back of the company GC and just opened the bags on the tail gate of my Frontier and let the kids come around to the carport and get their goodies.

I do hope more come tomorrow night because I got a whole bunch of candy left.

<In grumpy old man voice>  In my day, we were not allowed to go out trick or treating until after dark.
