He might have gotten big doing the rap/rock thing but he seems to have a lot of appreciation for country.
He's done specials with Hank Jr. A buddy of mine saw him doing a secret show at the Whiskey in L.A. a few years ago. He did a bunch of acoustic Hank Sr. songs. |

If I had his fame and fortune, I would pray to have his humility, generosity and coolness.

CSB
We were at a strip bar on the outskirts of Lubbock for a friends 21st. Kid rock and his band were there, playing the next night at a club in town. Kid walked by our table and my friend stopped him. We chatted for a few minutes and he asked if we were going to the show. No plans to, but he took our names (on a piece of a Bud Light box) and said we were good to go...tell them at the front and we'd get passes and were invited to party with them after the show. He was true to his word and we got tickets and hung out after the show for a bit. My friend traded him a belt buckle for one of his fedoras. He said he would wear the buckle in the Bawitaba video but I don't think he did. End CSB |

It's great to see a celebrity who genuinely enjoys doing stuff like this. From some you can tell that it's very awkward and more of a PR thing than anything else. But other celebrities just enjoy having the status to be able to make people happy by sharing a few moments with them.

Quoted: I like Kid Rock. I don't care for his music since he went country, but this video is awesome. Regardless what anyone's personal feelings toward him are, he was a miracle for the guy in the vid. Very cool! View Quote This post really struck me... How many of us are NOT Kid Rock or rich and yet could still be the miracle for the guy in video? It sorta makes me feel like I need to do something. Thanks for posting it OP! |

I can't say I personally like his music mych, but Kid Rock certainly seems to do a lot of really classy things for servicemembers and fans like this guy. He's certainly good to go as far as I'm concerned.

I like KR when he was just rap. I liked KR when he was white-trash fabulous. I like him now that he is country-rock.
The man always seemed stand-up, not afraid to do it his way, and seemed to have his own vision of himself. I didn't know that much about his conservativeness, or his character. I find out that he is a RKBA activist and NFA owner, and I'll start making pilgrimages to his house and get a picture of him painted on black velvet. |
|
I've always liked him. That was a 1st class job he did for that guy's birthday.

Great to see this! I like his music, even the country stuff!

And one of "us." I am not a huge fan of his music by any stretch, but he has talent, is a good guy, and leans conservative. He is A OK in my book. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

That's the name of the song. Kid Rock has been in my mp3 player since the first day I got it, and had to put all my CD's onto it. Good dude, good music. |

Kid rock is a class act. He would toss you a mag if you were out. Even if you didn't know him.
Good man. |

Awesome. I had no idea how much talent he had until I saw him in concert. He played every instrument on that stage with authority. View Quote Yep, saw him in 08 in Dallas when the economy went to shit. He shut the show down after a few songs and thanked everyone for choosing to spend their money to see him in what was tough times. Then he guarnteed that all mic's were live and all instruments were actually being played and proceded to play everything on stage, including the piano, and put on a damn good show. |

He, Zac Brown, and Kelly Pickler came to Kandahar when I worked there. Apparently he does the USO show every year.

Wow, I heard he was a decent guy but now I am down right impressed.

I bought the born free album last week. Damn Chevy commercial! He was awesome in Joe Dirt too, Def Leppard sucks!

He does own a evil Black rifle, Hank Jr. gave him one for his birthday if I remember right. So he is one of us.

Kid Rock won me over when dispatched his minions to return with one of the General Lee Chargers from the Dukes of Hazzard.

He's a classy guy by all accounts even though he puts on a tough guy act. Nicely done Mr. rock, nicely done...

|
Nice going !!
He is indeed an all around nice guy and very generous to those who are deserved Where's Miss B? She's one of his biggest fans |

have met him a couple times doing security crap, he's really nice and down to earth. Kind of guy that is fun to hang with.

Kid Rock is awesome. A celebrity with his talent that is still "human" is exceedingly rare. This country would be a much better place if more celebrities followed his example.

Some body doesn't appreciate drunk guy karaoke. I blame the sizzurp I made from dropping alkaseltzer cold and flu into espanola tequila. |

Good for him. Not many celebrities would spend quality time like he did. Made that guys day special I'm sure.
