They won't take it. GOP may get some governors, but on the whole it's not going to be pretty. Fraud, a lack of media savvy, and a stupid platform are going to do the party in.

After 2008 & 2012, I have zero confidence that the current batch of GOPers could fight their way out of a wet paper bag.
It's stunning to me exactly how inept they are at messaging a lucid and compelling position without stepping on their dicks along the way. The GOP, IMO, will snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory every single time.....and I have yet to see any evidence remotely to the contrary. We'll see. |
No, the races will tighten up and there will be plenty of people driving voters to the polls to ensure this doesn't happen. That party is far more organized and determined in the ground game.

Here we go again, every election the defeatist and Mobys come out in numbers in GD to discourage conservatives from voting. I voted already, things can change if you would get off your basement dwelling collective asses and do something. Look at the recalls we had here, 3 anti-gun dems thrown out of office.

I'm calling it for the Republicans, this time around.
I called it for Obama last time and even won a PMAG for correctly guessing the most states. |
Even if they take the majority by one or two it will make no difference.
Even if the Rhino's mustered up some balls (impossible) and attempted to pass something they will not have a super majority and the left wing loons will filibuster. The Rhinos will keep the status quo in an effort to keep power and change nothing. |
Maybe, but it the long run does it really matter?
I doubt it. |
ARFCOM doesn't have a good track record on predictions so I'll just wait and see.

If the GOP offered a platform differing enough from the Dims, they may garner enough votes to win.
But we get people like graham, boner, and mcshitstains.
I'd like to see it. I'm not sure how much difference it will make. Congress has ceded much of it's authority to the bureaucrats and alphabet agencies. Will we get a government, which has taken control of every activity and every decision in our lives, off our backs? Will Obamacare be reversed? Will the swarms of illegals be shipped out and the border secured? Will the able-bodied of the 50% on the dole be required to earn their keep? Will the rule of law be enforced in the inner cities? Will the corruption be exposed and those responsible be held accountable?
I will participate because it is my duty, but what's the best we can expect? Slow the downward spiral from 100 MPH down to 90? |
It will appear that the GOP will retake the Senate when they start reporting the vote count, then the Dems will find enough votes from the urban areas to get them to the lead.
I suspect they'll pickup a few seats, but have my doubts about them taking the Senate. I suspect they'll pickup a few seats in the House also. In the long run I doubt it'll matter much other than getting the Rs blamed for more. They won't have an agenda, and they won't stand up to Obama when he exceeds his authority, so they'll just be a bigger punching bag or will go for the same agenda, but a bit slower. More RINOs is not the answer.

GOP will take the Senate, retain the House, and get the Presidency in 2016. They will then proceed to deficit spend and shit all over the Constitution all day every day, and people will defend them because they have an R by their name.

GOP will win, get nothing done over the next two years, take the full blame for the last eight years of fuck ups, and get Hillary Clinton re-elected in 2016, just in time for her to appoint four new justices to SCOTUS.
