Yanked the bullet out of the case, freed up some wiggle room.  Slid bolt and charging handle forward enough at that point that I could take off the buffer tube and clear it.

I have reloading dies for cartridges I don't have firearms for.

Gives me an excuse to buy a new rifle

I need to get MF one of those multistage reloaders. He won't load pistol ammo on his single stage.

Buying a Dillon was a life changing event for me.  My .02 - if you drink the blue koolaid, get the 650 instead of the 550.  I love my 550 but having an extra station to run a bullet feeder would be nice.

It's delicious.  The Hornady LNL AP is supposed to be really good, too, but I went with Dillon because the quality is great and their customer service is phenomenal.  I don't think you could go wrong with either, though.

I tried mortaring it a few times at the range immediately after it happened and then a couple times at home just to be sure.

It was caught way the fuck up there, the bolt wouldn't move at all until I popped the bullet out.

Yanked the bullet out of the case, freed up some wiggle room.  Slid bolt and charging handle forward enough at that point that I could take off the buffer tube and clear it.

I still don't understand why you couldn't have separated the upper and lower.

Upper straight forward, receiver straight back, after pulling out he pins. That's how I got mine apart after the David C Tubb flatwire spring broke in the tube and wouldn't allow the bolt to return forward.
