The DC stop over is not confirmed.  The Brussels one is.  There is no flight to Dallas from Brussels. Some folks found a connecting flight through DC.  It is not confirmed.  Perhaps I worded the post wrong.

Also according to this chart from the CDC there is a good chance he contracted it on the plane.

Plane went Liberia - Brussels - DC - Dallas.

"FIGURE 4. Distribution of Ebola virus incubation period, by days of incubation
The figure shows the distribution of Ebola virus incubation period, by days of incubation. Data from two sources were used to construct a lognormal probability distribution of being in the incubation state. The mean incubation period derived from this calculation is 6.3 days (standard deviation: 3.31 days), with a median of 5.5 days and a 99th percentile at 21 days.
Sources: Data adapted from Legrand J, Grais RF, Boelle PY, Valleron AJ, Flahault A. Understanding the dynamics of Ebola epidemics. *Frequency relates to number of patients out of a total of 5,000 patients."

What's the source on the DC stop over, vs. say JFK or O'Hare?

Got it.  Figure its one of four (?) cities, depending on air carrier: Chicago, DC, Atlanta, New York.   Maybe Philly or Boston.

What blows my mind about the kids is the fact they are still running around free.    They sent them home and told them to stay inside.
They will be out every afternoon playing with their friends, Fucking thay boo, or whatever the hell ghetto kids do.

How many of those influenza deaths had comorbidities?  How many were young or elderly?  Don't think Ebola cares about any of that...  The fact that it can have up to a 21 day incubation period is disheartening.  How many places can you go in 21 days in this country?  I realize that transmission comes with showing symptoms, but the fact we can travel anywhere we want in this country can increase the spread.

They actually have said it can be transmitted without showing symptoms.

I knew the second the feds said they have this under control and not to worry, we better worry about it.

Hopefully none of them decide to get their nut with one of the locals while in Africa.  Even a blow job can pass this virus, due to its presence in saliva and its ability to infect with very low virus count.

Flu is endemic in human and bird populations.  It kills between 250,000 and 500,000 people, worldwide, per year.  It kills mainly the young and the old (people with poor immune systems).

We are still in the early stages of the ebola outbreak.  CDC is projecting 1,000,000 infections in Africa by January.  70% of those people will die or 700,000.  And that's just through January.

If this becomes endemic in human populations, then it's going to be a great culling of the herd.

Im tell'n ya, it will be a national emergency, and it will be too late by then....

No, it won't be.  And that's the terrible part about it.

This will be contained.  So when the next thing, which cannot be contained, comes along, TPTB will point to this and say, "Not to worry.  Remember ebola?"

I expect that these cases will be kept under control, simply due to Dallas being in a socially self-responsible area of the country.  An outbreak in some place where social irresponsibility is a hallmark, like NYC or LA, and it will be a disaster.

I'll start to panic when 25% of the U. S.  population is infected.

I already defended my argument.  Your refusal to go google deaths from the flu and compare them to Ebola only confirms my theory that people jerking off to the idea that Ebola is a threat are unwilling to examine facts and are more concerned with being hysterical.

Put up or shut up.

I'm fine sitting back and laughing at you.

as I suspected. Lazy.

Does coast to coast have Pod casts?

Don't know. Does it? Never listened to coast-to-coast.
