Back in the old days, 1974, I had a 750 triple.  The marketing for that one stated "out of the crate it will flatten your eyeballs."

LOL, 625 is even a big deal these days. Theres guys breaking well into the 700s and higher.

Just do the math, 1.3 liter motor at 36 Pounds of boost from a Garrett GT 40 turbo.

This was at 32 PSI with a Garret GT-35 before Dynojet updated their software to calculate over 500 HP. We shut the software down at 500, it didnt know what to do, at the time no one thought it was feasible. I'll have to dig for the screen cap of the 620+ HP pull.

Yes. Three-hundred horsepower. That's what Kawasaki's absolutely deranged Ninja H2R is putting out. They say it was made "to offer the kind of acceleration most riders had never experienced." Apparently you have to qualify that statement with "most" because of the handful of riders that also pilot SR-71 Blackbirds.

I have been 130 mph on a motorcycle.  I don't ever need to do it again.

This is one of those things, that even though I have absolutely zero interest in owning, I am glad as a free American that they exist.  Ride safe to whomever ends up with one.

I'll never be able to use the power. Maybe once in a blue moon on a very well maintained and very empty road, but even then...

I never thought I'd say it, but "It's too much power". I can't use it. I'm not skilled enough to use even 50% of it on a road course, I'm not interested in drag racing a motorcycle, and I'll never use anything CLOSE to what it's capable of doing on a public road unless I've got a death wish. It's just overkill. It's like using a ma deuce as your "bump in the night" gun. I mean...you hypothetically could, but...yeah.

Anyway...

Wow.

I'm a bit naive, but can you actually lay down 300HP on a bike without a wheelie bar?  It seems like even at high speed, high gearing, you'd risk just flipping over.

LOL...... I'd love to see you say that when you pull the trigger on 600hp on two wheels.  Keep that raging psycho bitch between your legs that's trying to kill you under control.  Keep the front end down while it's lifting in 6th gear at 220 mph, or keep the rear end from fishtailing while the tire is spinning at 200 plus mph.

Straight line on a stock bike is no big deal.  Turn the throttle on that bike and you better know your shit.
