I have to level with you. I'm not a fan of the design, at all. It doesn't flow. It looks scrunched up, unnatural and.. abnormally blunted. It tries for the streetfighter feel and doesn't quite grab it. When I look at your bike I feel like I'm looking at a stepped on diseased cockroach. I don't feel that way when I'm looking at a Duc, a BMW, or even a KLR. Those designs have a synergy - yours.. doesn't. I'm sorry to piss on your creation. I'm sure you guys are fond of it and are proud of it. That's just one guys take. I sincerely wish you the best in sales. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

The true potential in this project are not the bikes themselves but what we learned in the process of designing and building them. |

The 1125 is great, but its way down on power compared to its newer 1190 cousins. The Ronin is over 50lbs lighter than the stock Buell which ups the power to weight ratio. The Ronin also uses cold ram air intakes though a redesigned airbox along with a custom mapped ECM and our own designed free flowing exhaust. So without touching the stock 1125 engine the response is what you want it to be (we even fixed the stator issue that caused overheating on the 1125s). That said it was never designed to be a sport bike (although we have extensive track testing time on the prototypes) Well, at least 50 less pounds will make it exciting, if it has a similar 146 HP power output (I'll spot it 150, due to the new airbox design, and ECU cal to match). Adding lightness never hurts, and 50lbs is a huge amount for a two-wheeled murdercycle. It just means the driver can gain 50 lbs more |

Why not make them in a free state instead of CO? View Quote As stated previously... The Ronin Project was started back in 2011 and was established prior to the craziness in Colorado. Ronin Motor Works is a form of "pop up manufacturing" and will shut it's doors after the completion of these 47 bikes. We saw no need incur the massive relocation expenses under these circumstances. |
