Got the call. Dad missed a VA doc appt today and VA called family in MO. They checked and he had fallen last night and "went to sleep" and had been there since. Being taken to SL this or that. No news beyond that.

Positive thoughts sent.
Make sure you tell him a hundred time that he is a fighter when you visit. |

Damn, hope he's fine. Two years ago my Dad fell and hit his eyeball on the corner of a dresser. Destroyed his eye and it had to be removed, he's never been the same since, it's like it just took the wind out of his sails..
Prayers for your Dad. |

I been there and done that. Found my dad on the floor one morning. He fell during the night and could not get back up so he pulled the covers off the bed and sat on the floor watching tv. Unfortunately it gets worse from there. Prayers sent. It's part of life. Lot of us go through it, hang in there.

Thanks a lot, guys. No news. I don't have extended family numbers.

|
Extra prayers sent and not a good situation, might be time to go see your Dad if you can.
|
|
I'm sorry to hear that. Please accept my prayers and best wishes.
Like others have said, it's probably a good idea to go visit; he's going to welcome the visit I'm sure. |

Can take off fairly soon if needed to secure guns I was told are mine if need be. If he's stable then I can plan this better to get out there and figure out what I can do to prevent this. I was not aware of any current medical issues. |

My Dad fell reaching to turn off a ceiling fan wall switch. Broke his leg and from the surgery he had a six month complicated recovery and passed. One complication after another.
Swelling from congestive heart failure. Then a reaction to one of his meds and made him spiral into dementia which he never had. Weaker and weaker from not being able to walk in therapy because of leg swelling. Six months of watching him go down hill. Lost him almost five years ago. He was 85 when he passed. Prayers sent. |

Prayers sent. My dad has fallen several times, luckily he is a fairly sturdy klutz. Hope yours is the same and nothing more.

Prayers sent, I'll never forget the night my grandmother had her stroke and fell. Had seen it a hundred times on the ambulance, and wasn't prepared for it at all
