I have a simple question.






Shooting an ar prone.. Trigger hand, elbow out or tucked in.

since this is ARFCOM, clearly "normal" elbows are in, "pointy" elbows are out.

Elbows out shooting anything prone.


You want your body down as close as possible to the ground with as much contact as you can get.


Legs splayed and centerline of rifle going through centerline of body.


There are numerous pics online of proper form.

Elbow in as far as reasonable to provide support.  No chicken wing in prone.  It is physically impossible to tuck it in tight as your support elbow is in the way.    USMC, CMP, USAMU and of course Appleseed which utilizes the same material taught by these organizations, all agree...
