In the pictures I have seen of the Secret Service agents at the White House during the incursion this week, I noticed they all had MP5's.
If a determined adversary showed up in body armor with AK/AR15's wouldn't the guys with MP5's be in trouble ? Think a major review of the weapons in use should be underway ? Any one think our adversaries have taken notice ? |

The Police here carried MP5's for many years, still do actually
But we're seeing more and more 5.56 weapons, mostly LMT M4's and HK G36C's |
|
I worked at their HQ. They have an armory that would blow GD's mind.
ETA Union membership has its privileges. |

"Whitehouse , MP5's Outdated ?"
Yes, the whitehouse is outdated. No, MP5's are not outdated. Next set of questions please? :-) |

"10 millimeter explosive tip caseless. Standard light armor piercing round, why?"

Yes OP, the only weapons the SS has at the WH are MP5s. View Quote In the first few minutes, on the ground, that's all I see in pictures. I know they have more somewhere. But this guy proved it only takes around 42 seconds to get over the fence and through the front door. Shouldn't the first line of defense have more than MP5's ? |

There are snipers constantly on the WH roof. I doubt they're "sniping" with MP5s.

You should call the Secret Service and voice your concerns.
They love that. |

I think this weakness will embolden bad guys that are actual threats. They use those mp5s because of over penetration fears warranted or not.

The guys in plain clothes had MP5s but the dudes in tactical gear had tricked out SR16s.
Pistols caliber carbines are dumb but better than a pistol. Didnt the uniform guys used to have 870 SBS's?

I used to think the USSS were some of the most professional and best trained people out of the alphabet agencies. Then the shoes being thrown at Bush, with the Iraqis taking the guy down instead of the SS, then the scandal with the whores in Columbia, and I know there's one other incident which escapes me at the moment, and now it's more like .

I've been pondering how to word this, and can't quite figure it out properly, so I can only say that if you looked at U.S.S.S. agents, or Capitol Police officers, responding with MP-5s to something and thought somehow that 1600 Pennsylvania was a soft target because of that, you are very very wrong. |
