He's defective. The judge reading the defendant's comment predicting an easy time getting jury sympathy because he is 16 and blond pretty much nailed down as fact that he only cares because he got caught.
No fucks given--at least for him. |

This is not "a good answer" I thought it was quite refreshing to see a defense attorney not prevaricate or outright lie. You know I believe the rules state that they are supposed to tell the truth but it's so seldom done.

ETA: Could have been worse. His lawyer could have said something like, "Judge, I can assure you that he will never kill another baby. He has told me repeatedly that he has met his baby quota and is now ready to move on to nuns." |

Far and away the number one cause of both physical and sexual abuse of children is idiot "mothers" allowing their latest stiff dick to babysit their bastards from other losers. No one should be surprised at the outcome, as it is very predictable. Trash acting like trash. The recorded phone call was a nice touch in this case though.

It was just a general comment, as this kind of thing is quite common. I even know a guy who did exactly that, and I've known him since he was the victim's age. The only difference is he shook the child until he stopped crying. The poor kids can't help what the scummy adults around them do, so it's very sad and tragic.

Besides, if you impose a lesser sentence, then you give my client the illusion of hope, and this illusion can be a very torturous thing when you are being gang raped in prison and see your hopes of ever seeing the light of day dim as these big, ferocious men are beating you to death - a pitiful, remorseful demise. Compare this same situation for someone who is essentially serving a life sentence, and the prospect of being gang raped to death could be construed to be a pleasant, liberating experience." |
