What the serious fuck Apple?
Just saw a post on Facebook about it, just looked on my phone sure enough, some U2 album that I never asked for or they just put on. And people wonder why I want to go back to Android. |
I also hate getting free stuff.
Damn you Apple, damn you to hell! In all seriousness, I just deleted it from the playlist. Woopdiefuckingdoo. |
Just looked and it is on my playlist also, waiting for me to download though, nope, just gonna delete it instead.
ETA- So how do I delete them from my playlist on Iphone5? |

Evidently you have to go thru iTunes to do it. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Meh. Free music for some people. I think U2 sucks, so I just won't download it.
Cocksuckers did it to mine too.
I don't want to hear that bullshit whiny hippy goddamn fucking band. I'd rather have a deer shit in my ear for 3 hours then listen to Bono's bleeding heart fucking screaching. Fuck you Apple!
The Unforgettable Fire? Thanks! Anything after The Joshua Tree, spamware!
I see nothing. Then again I stopped updating to keep my 4s functional.
I don't have it on mine either.
Are you sure they didn't just gift the album to your iTunes account? i.e., it's not 'downloaded' to your phone. Just available. ETA: This is correct. No one had anything pushed to their phones by Apple. They DID have a U2 album gifted to them via their iTunes account. And now it's showing up in playlists because they have "show all music" (including not downloaded stuff) enabled in their settings. |
Nothing found on android.
Google probably hasn't thought of it yet. |

Many carriers will exit your contract and pay you back. |
Part of Apple's promotion thing this week was an agreement with U2 to provide all members with an iTunes account a free copy of the album.
You have automatic downloading set on your phone. They just gave it to everyone with an iTunes account. Your settings caused it to download.

View Quote See the cloud symbol next to each song? That means it's in the cloud. On your iTunes account. Not on your phone. |
Glad I permanently told Apple to fuck off last year. And lol@"smartwatch" |
I discovered this yesterday mid bike ride. Had to stop and skip the song. Fuck U2 and fuck apple

Of all the good stuff people post on the cloud, they have to send me this crap.
i see it there too, avail for download.
but it's not on my ipod or computer. if it was actually downloaded i'd be even more pissed. |
That's not downloaded. It's available to you. You have to press the cloud icon to actually download. (Hence the "down"-pointing arrow). |
Go to iTunes Store
Click genres Select rock It's there for free if you want it |
I disabled that feature to pull from my itunes cloud. It showed my entire library as available and slowed down alot. It isnt really on your phone.

From another post:
My favorites: Woke up this morning to find Bono in my kitchen, drinking my coffee, wearing my dressing gown, reading my paper. To get if off: |
I am a dick.
I sent them a support ticket asking them to remove the "purchase" I don't mind if U2 wants to give away free music. I just mind it being forced to my list of "Purchases / not on this ipod" seriously tho... i love my apple products but ... can you imagine some politician (or libtard especially) paying enough money to force his or her products onto people in order to sway them. let's say one of zero's administration |
