Who wants a knife with some emblem on it anyway.
I have several BENCHMADE knives that are military issue.
They were confiscated from service members going through airport security at a civilian airport.
They flew back from overseas on military contract flights with no problem.
When they went through TSA they had to surrender the knives.
Oh and they are automatic knives at that!

Nice addition to my Military Issued Edged Weapons collection!

I'm wondering why he thinks the knives were issued. Or why he thinks it's funny to fuck with people who just came back from war.

Wow, had no idea.  I still wouldn't so smug about owning something that a deployed service member should have been able to keep.

I've given away a Kershaw a Cold Steel and a Zippo at the airport.  Noticed them after my ride had left and just waited for the first kid in digis with a pack to come out of security.  NO WAY TSA is getting my stuff.

There is such a thing called a Design Patent... and you can get it for the ornamental design of a product that already exists.

So it's entirely possible to have a patent for a specific fixed blade knife that's still in effect today.

You guys do realize the TSA has auctions for piles of seized knives. They don't categorize them either. Auction is open to the public and says " 31 whatever pounds of seized folding knives". Totally legit way to purchase them. The issued knives aren't owned by the soldiers to begin with.

I have bid on an auction before.
