"conservatives only like live babies so they can grow into dead soldiers". Etc etc.

Without all those dead soldiers he would be cracking jokes in German.

One of the top 2 of all time. I was actually sad when he passed. His career was one of legend. Spanned so many decades. Luckily I saw him before...
RIP, Mr. Carlin. There are so many but none will ever be as great as you..

He eeeked out a good joke occasionally but I never liked his style.
As far as him being in hell, he didn't believe in that so he is in that great nothingness. |

I guess that makes me part of the 'stupid half'. |

Back in the day he was funny as hell.
Then his Liberal side came forth. |

George Carlin US comedian and actor (1937 - 2008) Statistics, how do they work? I have no idea. Why don't you explain? I think what he's getting at is the fact that the "average person"... isn't average in intelligence. There're aren't as many people smarter than the "average person" as there are on the other side of the spectrum or at least that would be hard to prove. .... fuck you George Carlin... |

Because "Bell Curve" that's why. Although thats also over simplification.
Carlin sucked. He wasn't funny. He was a commie prick |

Not to sidetrack too much, but mean and median (even mode) are different ways of defining average. In many circumstances, median is the best way to define an average.

Did some great bits on the Flip Wilson show, Carson even Ed Sullivan
Liked his take on havoc and chaos 25000 die in an earthquake in Iran why not 50000... He was smart that's all I ask politics be damned If you keep judging performers by their politics all you'll have left is Alex Jones and Levin Artists are left brain dominant and that lends itself to liberal thinking I just made that up but it sounds good! |
|
If you look at his career he built it on being the guy who would tap dance on the line before anyone else and then tell you to fuck yourself if you bitched about it.
I want to say that when his "liberal" leaning special came out Bush was in the White House. He also made jokes about people banning toy guns and letting people keep the real ones. He was there to push buttons. He'd make you feel uncomfortable and then hit you with a zinger. ETA: He went to war with the FCC and the IRS. *shrug* |

Depending on his crowd, who was president, his gimmick or mood at the time, he could give any side hell. I really don't think he cared one way or the other. It all paid the same to him.
In the vein of Will Rogers, He was a classic. |

(ring) "Hello"
"Hello, Dave?" "Yeah, this is Dave. Who is this?" "This is Jane." "Jane? Jane who?" "Jane" "Jane Jane?" "Jane. You met me at a party about 6 to 8 weeks ago and you said I was a real good sport." "Oh, Christ yeah. How are you, Jane?" "Pregnant! And I'm gonna jump out the window!" "Say, you are a good sport, aren't ya, Jane?" |

Fucking hate that guy, even after death.
I'd punch his corpse.... |

When George Carlin was funny he was hilarious. When he wasn't funny his morbid depression and hippie burnout shined brighter than a billion suns on a Georgia June day.

He did a helluva skit laying into environmentalist whackos once. Carlin was probably one of those people whose politics would be very hard to place on the spectrum. Just like Hunter Thompson was. |

You don't have to agree with everything an entertainer says!
I liked George Carlin, and am glad I got to see him before he died! Rage Against The Machine is one of my fav bands. But I agree with very little of what they stand for! Just saying! |

Saw him in Vegas about 10 years ago. His opening act was DAMN funny. George was obviously working on his then current material and didn't have the timing down yet. He was OK, but not as funny as I thought he'd be. It was still neat to see him once. |

He was essentially the Sunday Comics dept of the Weather Underground. Before him, you had Don Rickles and a couple of other Rat Pack era guys that would make funny "golf swing" motions between shitty jokes. Then he started making shitloads of money and figured he would have to become less direct action political to be a rich bastard. Kind of like Ben and Jerry, another couple of flower power commie fucks that love making money as long as it's them and not you. |

I liked George Carlin. His wit shaped my sense of humor. His politics never entered into my admiration of his craft.
|
|
He lived long enough to see that the hippie thing was really just a bunch of dumbasses who liked to get stoned. All that peace love and granola bullshit when right out the window when they got the chance to make some money. It's no wonder he was such a bitter motherfucker when he got older.
|

Funny until he opened his yap about politics, which goes for every comedian, actor, singer.
ETA: Interesting, he was in the Air Force. And booted for being a turd it looks like lol! |

Rejoice! We've run out of live liberals so now we have to attack the dead ones!
Oh, wait...
