This thread rustles my jimmies.
My plan once I finish my 18inch SPRish build and buy a hand cannon.

Full Kidd action, lightweight barrel, 2 stage trigger

Stocky Stinger Stock.  Price tag of ~$1000 before glass.

I was always a fan of what people legally did with Ruger Charger Pistol receivers.    I think it would have been more popular if Ruger made it with a shorter barrel and more pistol like grip.  That seems to have been a popular modification.

I'm guessing those are both handmade, but there is a stock called the Ruger Cohort stock that doesn't look too shabby on a Ruger Charger.

Tacsol sbx 12" barrel if you plan on putting a can on it.

i don't have much appreciation for the bench rest/tack driver conversions.

The closest I got to those is this one;

- non-model receiver

- AMT Lightning taper barrel

- Custom inlet Walmart Special laminate stock

- Power Custom internals

All my other 10/22's are tactical builds.

Very nice!

Is a heavy barrel really necessary when firing 22lr? I mean does the 22lr cartridge cause barrel whip?

I don't know if it's needed or not. It is a limited edition 24" barrel that I thought looked cool and different. It does shoot very well if I feed it good ammo. I haven't taken it to the range in a long while due to the 22lr shortage.

I've always wanted one of them. Something like this, minus the excessive mag and old dude

I got a good deal on a SR22 receiver set and barrel and slapped it into a Boyd's stock.  Still need to get a decent scope and mount but I put 5 mini mags into a .45 hole @ 25yds this morning and none of them touched the sides.

To be fair, I did do a trigger job to 3lbs.

Has to be on a Ruger Charger receiver, which Ruger originally manufactured as a pistol.   They only made the Charger for a few years, and don't anymore.

I'm guessing those are both handmade, but there is a stock called the Ruger Cohort stock that doesn't look too shabby on a Ruger Charger.

There's a lot of ideas to build on ONE receiver here.

But you have two.
