He also just admitted to a crime on national TV.  Again.

Colorado only allows purchases of long guns by people who live in neighboring states.

While the ATF ruled "adjoining" means CONUS, Colorado is one of those exception states who specifically listed their neighbors (UT, WY, NE, KS, OK, NM and AZ*) as the only acceptable residences for out-of-state people wanting to buy long guns.

Lemon lives in Georgia.

*not 100% sure if CO accepted AZ as neighboring or not, but Lemon isn't from AZ, so it's irrelevant

There's been a recent change to Colorado law, which took effect 15 days ago.  Now Colorado allows residents to purchase of long guns from any state as of April of this year. The Dems allowed this to go through after their restriction on mag sizes and having private sale background check.  They are sceeered this election year.

"Colorado: Bill Repealing Restrictions on Rifle and Shotgun Purchases/Sales Signed into Law
Posted on May 5, 2014

Last Friday, May 2, Senate Bill 135 was signed into law by Governor John Hickenlooper (D).  SB 135 enacts a long-overdue alignment of Colorado with forty-two other states that allow their residents to purchase rifles and shotguns in non-contiguous states, provided the purchase or transfer complies with state and federal law.  SB 135 takes effect on August 6, 2014.

SB 135, sponsored by state Senator Greg Brophy (R-1), repeals restrictions in state law relating to the purchase and sale of rifles and shotguns in non-contiguous states, and will permit the purchase and sale of firearms in states not bordering Colorado by both residents and non-residents.  SB 135 is an important pro-gun reform which repeals outdated restrictions, providing Colorado residents the freedom to purchase long guns in states beyond their immediate borders.

Your NRA thanks Senator Brophy for championing this bill, and countless NRA members across Colorado for their unwavering support and commitment to the Second Amendment.

While this legislation is a step in the right direction, critical reforms are still needed after last year’s egregious anti-gun laws were passed, making this election year one of the most important in years.  Know that your NRA-ILA is standing guard and will continue to update you as the legislative session progresses and as the 2014 election approaches.  Please stay tuned to your e-mail inbox and www.nraila.org for further updates."

Well, if Don's a little hazy about guns, maybe he could get a quick refresher from fellow CNN anchor Jake Tapper - who used to work for Handgun Control Inc (now called the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence).

Making a big argument over that makes you look petty, and trying to focus on a nit-picky point, instead of arguing the real one, which is what did the founding fathers intend?

Understood, but as long as folks blather complete nonsense (or outright deception) and aren't openly called on it, the general public, too lazy to actually fact check, will continue believing said nonsense, word for word.
This is why so many folks believe you can actually go down to Larry's Pawn and walk out with a machine gun, for $300.
Or order one shipped to your door without a background check.

We can't have meaningful debate without well defined basis.

Words mean things.

Kind of like the time MIAG listed one of the Boston Bombers as a victim of gun violence.

It's a nice bone to be tossed, that being said......it doesn't go nearly far enough.  Repeal the mag ban, repeal the background check, and get the fuck out of office for the trouble they caused......and maybe I won't openly hate on them at every chance I get.

They should be fucking scared, because a polling booth reckoning is coming, and the dems might not know it yet.....but they lost this election the minute they forced those bills through against fierce opposition both from public and Sheriffs, etc.

May fuck be upon them.

Its not about being petty, it's about informing the public about significant laws, or firearms, that they may no nothing about. I have to tell people about these things all the time because non gun people just don't understand, they think you can order a gun off the internet and have it shipped to your door no background check which is completely false in most cases (Curios and Relics would be the exception of you have a C&R FFL.). Also they don't know the difference between modes of operation semi vs fully automatic it's not petty it's a big deal when politicians try to change laws and these people have no idea. They want  a semi automatic handgun for home defense, yet think an AR15 is fully auto which it is not. So when a law change comes and it bans semi automatics they don't realize that means there HD handgun or semi automatic hunting rifle until it's too late.
