And now after this one, we expect her to be stronger than before and think more clearly and strike out on her own? That just doesn't seem reasonable to me. Since having had a bigger beating, I would expect her to be weaker, more scared, more alone, and desperate to rationalize it and "bargain" a way out that avoids future beatings while not losing the only person who loves and understands her. Hopefully, the fact they'd been apart for a while has helped her get over him and what happened was more like getting beat by a stranger than getting beat by a boyfriend. Maybe she'll stay away from him and maybe she has some sort of support she can lean on while she gets her feet back under her. We'll see. Great post. I've long thought she was beautiful . . . I would totally try to be her white knight if I was a younger, single guy
ADD: Watched several of her interviews on youtube and I'll never look at her the same way again. Her voice is almost EXACTLY like a current student of mine.

We started dating when he went to jail (I didn't know this at the time). I ran into him at a bar after he got out and he got all up in my face about stealing his woman and was working himself up to take a swing but some other dudes jumped in and he got bounced. |
