Even if we blocked all flights coming in from that region it wouldn't matter.
Those that want you dead would cry racism BTW if we protected Americans from an African pandemic. So long as flights were coming into South and Central America we'd still have people walking across the open border carrying it. So not only are we enduring human wave attacks as part of the ethnic cleansing soft kill, including the use of child human shields, now we face biological attacks on the American citizenry. But we will get into the cattle cars and strip naked in front of the ditch still denying it what is really happening right up until the end. Two American doctors that know full well what the requirements are to not contract ebola end up contracting ebola.
Anybody that thinks this virus is not highly contagious and will not spread like fire because of western medicine and hygine is fooling themselves. This will be like the flu and vents, as long as there are enough vents, people having flu that need vents have a good chance of surviving. The problem is most hospitals only have a few vents. Once the demand exceeds the capacity, flu death snowballs. The same will be true here with ebola and level 4 isolation facilities. The first few people that get it can be isolated and treated. But this type of facility is very limited. As soon as more people have it than can be accomidated in an isolation facility, it will sprread like wildfire and people will die. |

I don't like bringing them back much either, but it does let our guys work on Ebola cases here which could be pretty valuable science and experience wise. I also have a $1 that says if the guy was in a suit the decon facilities were probably not exactly top notch. At one Sierra Leone facility shown on Vice the "airlock" was a sheet. |
