On a less depressing note, supper tonight is yummy. Roast beef, roasted asparagus, sautéed zucchini and onions, and green beans cooked with a ham hock. Why did you have to post this an hour before lunch? Because that's when I was eating it. |

FFP puts the reticle on the First Focal Plane of the scope. It changes size with magnification change, meaning the reticle's ranging is not affected. SFP puts it on the second FP, meaning it is only usable for ranging at the magnification it was designed for. I believe one of the PA 4-14 or 4-16 scopes had a SFP mil-dot reticle that was calibrated to be accurate at 10x. I know, used to have a GRSC 1-6 FFP scope. Was pretty cool, but didn't like the long eye relief and the weight. I've been getting tempted by PA's fixed 6x with their ACSS reticle... If only I wasn't a broke sumbitch.
