Am i the only one that thinks cops identifying themselves as cops on facebook, or even having facebook is sorta bad personal security?

I have one. I used it to keep in contact with my nephew in A-stan. Get over it.

I hope you get the hiccups and that they last for years.
I wish that your coffee will always be cold, bitter, and taste like nutty turds.
If it were up to me, I would lose all of your Christmas cards.
May your finger break through the toilet paper every time you wipe.
I fixed your TiVo so it will cut off the end of your shows, but only randomly.
The dry cleaners are going to crack at least 1 button on each of your favorite shirts.
Your pillow will always smell like another man has taken a nap on it.
Every time you reach into your toaster, it will burn the top of a knuckle.
When you drop your pants to sit on the toilet, they will get soaked in a puddle of piss.
Child-proof caps will forever frustrate you.
Your dog will decide the best place to fart is in your lap.
When you are trying to sleep, you will hear faint rap music in the distance.
Your seat belt will twist itself in the holder.
Your contact lenses will fall out on long drives.
The smell of bacon will make you think of Hillary Clinton's sweaty taint.
Your zippers won't stay up. Neither will your socks.
Cashiers will only have nickels to give you in change.
The sun will always be in that place where the sun visor won't reach.
You will pinch the web of your thumb in the stapler.
When you take a leak, it will spray in at least 3 directions.
Your computer will get a virus that deletes all fonts but comic sans.
May every carpet make you shock yourself with static electricity.
You'll start typing your Google search terms in the status update field.
There's a sex offender with your same name that's going to move nearby.
Every cup is now a drippy cup.
Your dishwasher won't latch and your oven burners won't light.
I hope that the restaurant is out of your favorite food.
Nobody will remember your birthday (except Dr. Brokeknuckle).
And I hope you shart yourself during roll call.

Not a counter sniper.

Police DO NOT use snipers. They use COUNTERSNIPERS or MARKSMEN.
Real police are life saving institutions....not assassins.

Lol. Ok.

Guess everybody I went to school with wasn't a "real policeman" then.

He definitely violated dept. policy and should be dealt with accordingly. He was responding to a post that showed a picture of some fucking neck beard pointing his rifle at cops. Maybe the neck beard who had his rifle pointed at the cops should be charged with agg assault, fair is fair.

No I get it. I still hate it though. Sniper school is tough and the washout rate is high. Just being selected to attend is a chore. Then you get civilians and I mean law enforcement, that go to some 1 or 2 week class that someone paid for and all of a sudden they're telling people they're a sniper. I busted my ass specifically for a year prior to going to sniper school to prep. Prior to that I busted my ass to get into a recon platoon (scouts) just to have the opportunity to go to school. There are only three ways to become an American sniper and all of those require being in the military; army sniper school, SOTIC and marine sniper school. That's it, nothing else. If you didn't go to any of those, you are not a sniper, period.

Not all cops do that btw and I'm not a basher. Several close friend of mine including a few I've served with are leo.

Oh FFS it is not semantics, there is a difference, huge difference. Whatever class you taught, who developed it? Your department, another department? If that's the case we can put on an arfcom sniper school and have a shit ton of snipers on the forums for real. Read what I posted already . There are only three schools in the US that can make some one a sniper and it sure as heck isn't your local yocal pd school.

My friend who has a background in this field would agree.
He won't call himself a sniper. He went through training in Vietnam but ended up mostly being spotter/protection
But had time behind the gun.
He won't call himself a sniper as he didn't " earn it"
He was incredible shot into his late 50s when he developed eye problems.
I wager he could out shoot many a person calling themselves snipers.
He placed highly in many hi power competitions and shoots anything well he picks up

I see someone wants to argue semantics, like counter-sniper and marksman.  Here we go...

Every agency I know of that uses such stupid, politically correct terms for its snipers is trying to be kinder and gentler for the wrong reasons to the wrong people, and real cops and innocent citizens pay the price for the lack of moral courage and leadership in those agencies.

There are differences between police and military snipers (as I told the police sniper class I instructed just last week) but definitely not "Worlds of difference apart."

Based upon what I'm reading from you, I don't think you know very much about sniping, Discolite.

I don't know who started pointing rifles at whom at the Bundy ranch, and admittedly didn't follow the news much on it, but while I saw bad moves on both sides, I saw some straight up stupidity on the part of some of the so-called militia.  I don't recall seeing pics of cops aiming at the protestors, but I saw protestors aiming at cops.  I don't have time to research it right now, but I figure if pics exist of cops aiming at protestors, they'll be posted now.

What crime was the man he referenced in the comment guilty of? Was he taken into custody?

When I worked corrections they had to reprint all the material and manuals for emergency procedures to change marksman to marksperson

to appease the miltant dykes

of course Same place also had a female black case worker they let onto the SWAT type team they had , had to run her through basic firearms qual 4 fucking times to get her qualed

all ya have to do is hit a fucking human target 80% of the time for 30 rds from 50 to 100yds , the 100yds was only 5 shots and it was from a supported position

No there isn't. I know a few that used those skills to saves some asses in their respective platoons. It's basically part of the shooting portion of sniper school, but shorter ranges. I was impressed with their knowledge.

"Police sniper instructor" sounds sorta like "celibate virgin pornstar" if I squint my ears a little.

A week of static shooting wearing a 5.11 boonie at a 100 yard target with a 3-12x50 is not a big wow.

Police counter-snipers should exist and do a great job as overwatch and surveillance.   Maybe I just don't measure my appendages like I should.

I know plenty of guys who get on or start a SWAT outfit and for some reason feel they are at the same table as SAS or SEALs.  Remember the old show S.W.A.T.? I dug that. Ol' TJ with his backwards had and Winchester.  No pretension.

I mean it's a civil service job.  It isn't demeaning. I get by ok. I just don't get the braggadocio.  Maybe I'm just too laidback.  All I know is that if you are in that position., you really shouldn't fixate on shooting people.

I know of a few folks that had to do so as police and it wasn't fun albeit justified to a T.  Guy got a divorce and quit for five years.   I'm sure he was "weak" or "not cut out for it" as some might say.  But I know he was just a regular guy put in a position to use his training.

I was told once: "If I told you that TODAY you will be in a position to end someone.  Where people may die. Where you may die if you don't end them.  And you have the training.....but you WILL have backs turned on you. You WILL be called a"loose cannon". You WILL be second guessed and people will come out of the woodwork with 'woulda shoulda couldas' and only after it is all said and done which could be YEARS, will those people say 'Yep. He performed straight out of the book'. Would you still come to work or call in sick?"

Don't answer.  Just think.  It's easy to be gung ho if you don't think it can't happen.

It's just another part of just another job.

IIRC correctly, someone that seemed legit posted that they met FedDC in Iraq at some point.  I don't know any other details.

FedDC has views that I don't agree with, but he really doesn't strike me as a poser.  I've never seen him make lofty claims.

Poser callouts, by and large, seem to back fire.

He stated he would shoot someone posing a lethal threat to uniformed LEOs.  He is right and will win a big payout as the dept violated their own policies by punitively transferring him without due process.  They then did it to his supervisor who pointed out the improper actions.

This is a politician in uniform at the top who is about to get schooled in court.

I was under the impression that the DC stood for Dept. of Corrections, as in he's a prison guard at a Club Fed someplace.

I have no cite, just what I remember reading.
