Celebrated 7 years this weekend. I love her more today than ever.
We ate at a fancy steakhouse, saw one of our favorite bands in concert, gambled for a bit in the casino, and spent the night in a fancy hotel. We had some time before picking up the kids from the grandparents the next day and I asked her if she wanted to catch a movie or something and she suggested we hit the range so she could shoot the AR I built her. (Nice!) Little did we know that a kind, retired Navy veteran working the sales counter would offer to let her run a mag through his full-auto 9mm AR. An amazing weekend and her favorite moment was 10 rounds of 9mm. And that's part of why I love her https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRhwPRz5750 |

I love my wife. She's pretty fucking awesome, even if she is lazy about sammiches and household chores. I think I our wives are related Sisters? Must have been triplets - My wife of 25 years is way better than I deserve, We like many of the same things and she goes along with all of the things I like and she does not care for. If I told you the amount of sex available and shared you would call me a liar - so I will just say I have never needed more than was shared, ever, in 25 years. She works 40-50 hours a week, cooks, cleans, washes clothes, keeps the house and does everything else......She has gained 15 pounds since we got married - but since she has given me 2 great kids, I can over look the 135 pounds she weighs now |

Happy. It's not easy sometimes, but she's worth it. View Quote This. Not even married a year yet so take it for what its worth but my opinion is marriage is never "easy". There will always be challenges. Question is whether you face those challenges as a team. Im happy as shit despite having hit some speedbumps on the road so far. We're stronger for it. As low ng as that continues to he the case we will be good to go. |

My wife has become lazy and complacent after 9 yrs of marriage. Although I'm grateful that she isn't doing something detrimental to the family (drugs, gambling, shopping), she definately isn't pulling her weight around the household. Sometimes it takes years of marriage to see these things but it's clear now that she's an exact clone of her mom. Her mom rarely visits because it's too 'inconvient' for her. She even misses the kids birthdays, baptisms, dance recitals...hell, everything, because she has other plans. Our kids are 6 and 3...and her only grandchildren. That probably paints the picture for you.
I'm essentially a single dad now as she's off doing whatever/whenever she wants. Divorcing her would just put me out on the street while I still pay for everything. So I'm in a shitty situation with the only option of making it a shittier situation. |

To those that have a good one, hang on tight and be good to her. To the rest, I understand. I was doing ok for 6 years until the Sheriff showed up at the door on a Sunday morning out of the blue with divorce papers. After that I figured out she was cheating. That was 20 years ago.

After reading the spreadsheet/ no-sex thread, I just wondered how many people are happy with the spouse. My first wife cheated on me, that was the lowest point in my life. I should write a book about how fucked up she was/ is. Thank God we didn't have kids together. But I married a wonderful woman six years ago. We're not perfect, but I'm very happy to be married to her. She makes my life better in so many ways. Just wondering if there was anybody else in GD who felt the same way. View Quote My female unit is about as rad an American as they make. VERY happy. She is the key that makes this whole thing make sense. |

19 years 4 kids and still going strong. Life's hard sometimes but through it all we still love one another. And to my best ability I think we've had four arguments in 19 years. I have to say I don't think I've done to bad for my self.

"Happy" is a relative term isn't it..? I was single until I was 45, no kids, had money, fast cars, free-wheeling...and a dry spell of 3-years with almost no sex.... then met my dream girl and everything inverted......happy....? I would say more like "challenged toward growth"...but I wouldnt trade my life for anything else I know of...could use .maybe a little more sleep.....but the sex is UNBELIEVABLE......and I love my kids ..... (all adopted)....and I don't know any better woman - for me...
