Goes to show you what marketing can do and staying ahead of the curve as it changes. Willis is probably the most competent of the three stooges, but nothing out of the ordinary and he has a worse reputation than his competitors, Yeager's never been thought highly of and AWOL's worse. But they were smart and got on youtube early and, I assume, are on their all the time coughing up new material, even if it's just random bullshit. "here's my new car, watch my wife shoot a muskrat" When people see you all the time like that they begin to develop a false feeling of having a relationship with you and loyalty, I guess. The Duck Dynasty guys are like that with their mostly faux redneck skits before they (except dad) drive back to their expensive houses in the burbs.
Really wouldn't take much for any business to do that (always easy to say that, tougher to do). I can't imagine that it would cost much to have some front man churn out videos and shoot the shit on youtube. Probably part of it is these are kind of small, penny ante businesses. No one is really too interested in investing money in tactical nylon, especially with the military being cut way way down, bases with threatened closure. The civilian market and airsoft is really what you are left, but I guess if you are willing to hustle it you can make some bucks. |

Not surprised he's pals with the Strider guys. He does sound like a poor guy who came into money and bought a lot of dumb stuff that's basically worthless.He says at the end he trolls for fights to run up clicks and make money. Then they started screaming at us to get off the bus. Then they screamed at us to drag our duffle bags up the hill and fall in. The screaming stopped a couple of months later. |

The problem is that social media is both good and bad for our community. I believe it has significantly strengthened our community by adding to our numbers and helping to raise awareness. However, it can be bad in that you end up with questionable people becoming very well known and identifiable with our community even though they don't necessarily represent the majority of those who belong to it. I love what NRA Freestyle is doing and the outreach to civilians and female shooters that has taken place this last year. I think Colion Noir and females like FateofDestinee are just great for reaching out to young people and those who normally may not have firearms even on their radar. I hope that people don't just write off Cory's success before this as being all due turning out a lot of videos. His videos have actually been produced very well and he tends to do very popular topics. Plus, it was one of the few channels with a female and that increased his audience to a) other women, and b) guys just looking to watch a woman with a firearm. |

The volume of videos he has put out has nothing to do with his "success". His "success" is from putting his girlfriend/baby momma in short shorts and filming her. I think his success has a lot to do with him being able to express himself emotionally. When he did his internet drama video, I thought he was going to cry. The way he shifted around and nervously rambled made me want to hhhhhhnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg. |

I can't imagine that it would cost much to have some front man churn out videos and shoot the shit on youtube. Probably part of it is these are kind of small, penny ante businesses. No one is really too interested in investing money in tactical nylon, especially with the military being cut way way down, bases with threatened closure. The civilian market and airsoft is really what you are left, but I guess if you are willing to hustle it you can make some bucks. Maybe a partnership with an ARF site staff member?
