Have we covered:
A shotgun is probably the best choice for self-defense.
1. All you need to do is point it in the direction of the bad guy and he's gonna be knocked off his feet when you pull the trigger. 2. Loaded up with number 4 birdshot there will be no need to worry about shooting little Jimmy in the next room. 3. If I have to go to court after shooting an intruder I don't some attorney showing the jury my evil looking AR. 4. 12 gauge has more knock down power than a .223 poodle shooter. 5. I think just by racking the slide the intruder would tuck his tail and run out of my house. In regards to the AR / M16 You know Mattel made some of the original ones, right?
We switched from 7.62x51 to 5.56, it is better to wound the guy so it takes out the people that have to aid them. How many wars have we really won since we adopted it? Vietnam was clearly a loss. Desert Storm, left Sadam in power. The Taliban are still alive and well, although they control a lot less territory, what will happen when we leave? Iraq might work out. We should have kept the M14. Better yet, and AK so it doesn't jam. I will put this out there, if you have a dud round, it is easier to rack the slide to chamber the next one with the shot gun than with an AR.
