That was a good game. The first good prime time game of the year.
November must come a few days early this year, it snowed today, and the Cowboys November squad was playing. |

I was surprised they put Romo back in. People can call him a choker, but no objective NFL fan can deny the guy is a warrior. A lot of warriors have moments of stupidity. Risking his season, career, etc. for a single win, in which weeden was doing just fine.....not brilliant in my opinion. |

If the 'Boys are for real, they'll win in November... View Quote I don't think that means much in terms of whether the Cowboys "are for real." Despite all those below average Dallas teams over the years, with Romo the Cowboys are 26-6 in November and he has a 105.5 passer rating. |

A report from Jerry World
“Alright, don’t say another (expletive) word!” Witten yelled at Randle at the opening of the workout. “Alright? Don’t say nothin’ from here on out. Don’t talk about it.”
But indications are Witten’s ire isn’t the result of the arrest, which the club dealt with in the wake of the two-week-old incident, but rather Frisco Jail video that shows Randle trying to downplay his crime by comparing it to teammates’ troubles. Said Randle to officers about teammate Josh Brent, involved in the 2012 vehicular homicide tragedy that killed Jerry Brown: “Josh Brent, he’s still up in the locker room. He was driving drunk. That’s stupid.” And, said Randle, referencing Dez Bryant’s 2012 arrest on family-violence charges: “Dez didn’t miss no games for smacking his momma.” View Quote http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2014/10/31/cowboys-randle-underwear-stealer-gets-undressed-by-witten/ |

Fucking frustrating. Didn't Carolina cut all of their WRs? They were good but I think our current roster is pretty good. Kelvin Benjamin has turned out to be very good, Olsen is rock-solid, Avant and Cotchery are still very serviceable, and Bersin has made a few plays. Sucks to lose Smith but we're moving on; LaFell and Gettis were decent. Not sure if Gettis got picked up but LaFell is playing for the Patriots. The one guy I wished we'd kept (besides Smith) is Ted Ginn Jr. |

When you not only play with cracked ribs and a punctured lung, but lead your team to a comeback win on the road as well, you're already a hardcore SOB. That being said: I think the smart play is let Romo rest for 4 weeks. Weeden (who looked pretty good against Washington) gives them a shot to beat the Cardinals. You shouldn't need him against the Jags and then you have the bye. Without Romo the Cowboys have pretty much no chance at a playoff run. They need to start acting like it instead of letting him play with these ridiculous injuries. Especially with a decent backup and the #1 rushing offense. |

The biggest public favorite today is currently the Arizona Cardinals.
That might be the first time I've ever seen a Cowboys opponent be the biggest public favorite on a regular season Sunday. |

Looks like Romo is out for today's game, thankfully. View Quote He should be out for the season. Playing with a fracture in his spine could put him in a wheel chair for the rest of his life if he takes another hit like the one that injured him last Sunday. As much as I dislike the Cowboys it would bother me to see a quarterback crippled because he was playing with a known injury that could paralyze him if it was aggravated. |

Earlier this morning the top three stories on ESPN's NFL page were all about the Cowboys. I can see where the jealousy and hatred comes from.

As much as I dislike the Cowboys it would bother me to see a quarterback crippled because he was playing with a known injury that could paralyze him if it was aggravated. Not a chance in hell. Romo has had to carry this team by himself for the better half of a decade. Nearly every week he had to pull off a small miracle for the Cowboys to simply be competitive and if they lost he was crucified for it even though he was the reason they were even in the game. Now he finally has an offense where he doesn't have to do everything and a team that gives him the best chance to win a Super Bowl he's had in over half a decade. He's too much of a competitor not to play. Not to mention I don't think any QB (maybe even player) in the NFL is better at playing through serious injuries as Romo is. |

The Jets are possibly one of the worst teams in NFL history right now.
http://www.ganggreennation.com/2014/10/28/7082835/ny-jets-historic-ineptitude Defense: On pace to generate 6 turnovers this year. The worst ever is currently 11. On pace to intercept 2 passes. No team has ever had fewer than 4. Opposing QBs have a combined QB rating of 113.5. That is the worst of all time. The offense may be worse. NFL rankings as of right now Turnovers: 32nd Yards per play: 32nd Yards per game: 32nd Yards per pass attempt: 32nd Passer rating: 32nd Both starting CBs today were signed midway through the season. Neiether has ever started a game for the Jets. One has never started a game for anyone. Both failed to make the cut as backups on their former teams. The starting QB is Vick, who fumbled 4 times and threw an INT against Buffalo and was possibly the best QB on the Jets that day. |

Fitzpatrick is painful to watch.

Cardinals beat the Cowboys.
Even without Romo and with Weeden playing poorly the Cowboys still had a decent shot at winning. When it was 14-10 three different times they had the ball inside Arizona's 35 and scored no points all three times. |
