Guys, I can't yall enough for the help that you've provided. You helped get him to the All-Star Game and again helped get a (small) nod at the All-Star Game MVP. You guys are why I pay for a membership.

I made the old lady drive home from dinner so I can vote. Average 1 vote every 5 seconds. 45 min car ride...

He really came through on offense and with some good defensive play as well. Congratulations again to your brother.

I hammered the voting non stop from when y'all posted the link.
I'm calling bullshit on Trout winning. Congrats to your bro. He damn sure showed that he deserved to be there. |

You'll have to give us the down-low on why he got pulled so early. I still think it was mostly because Matheny was crying about him starting after the ad and then realizing he's the better player this year and not Molina.

He got pulled because it's the All Star game, most of the starters get pulled, that's how they get as many people into the game as possible. |

I'd just go with that, but Gomez got left in a lot longer, and didn't really produce anything but inning-ending outs. I understand that you want to let all the kids play, but why pull the guy that tied up the game for you? |
|
OP, your brother makes me proud. He is a hard-working, down to earth ordinary guy who plays with heart. He is everything that an All Star is supposed to be. He is my MVP. |
|
Your brother had a great game and gave Dee Gordon an opportunity to show off his speed.

That fucking kills me that he didn't get MVP
I hope your brother knows that he's a great guy and a great ball player and I'm glad to have helped and will consistently do so in the future if he ever needs it. You should be a very proud brother. All I get to be proud of my brothers for is one is on the naked and afraid show and the other one made a bomb threat

I understand that you want to let all the kids play, but why pull the guy that tied up the game for you? Pretty much every starting position player was. Puig went 0-2 with 2 K's in his first 2 AB's and was left in only to strike out for a 3rd time. |

Yeah, I was hoping the NL could come back and win without any one player being responsible for the comeback and Lucroy would have a good shot and getting the MVP. It'd be pretty cool to see the Corvette with a BFL sticker on the back. But alas, the hole the Cardinals pitching staff dug for the NL was too deep to climb out of. If Matheny had given the start to the pitcher that deserved it instead of his own pitcher that was less deserving perhaps the NL would have won. We'll never know. |

How did Kershaw do? I'm a big Dodger fan so I was glad to see that he was on the team. Definitely deserves it, he's a hell of a pitcher. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I just saw where Wainwright claimed he threw Jeter some meatballs on purpose because "he deserved it."
Wainwright is either a liar trying to use a pathetic excuse for why he got lit up or he purposefully threw meatballs in a game that decides who gets home field for the World Series. Either way: what a fuckin' joke. |

Oh and when Jeter talked to my brother at Jeters first at bat, he leans back to Jonathan and says "hey man, what does this guys have? I've never faced him.... Btw congrats on making the team!"

I'm in your brothers neck of the woods right now. Just saw the brewers stadium. Flew from swfl to Milwaukee and now driving to Wisconsin Dells. This is a beautiful state.

Dunno where I am now. Bunch of farms. I'm on I94 near Madison I think.
I've dreamt of having land like this, but I need rivers for trout fishing. Reminds me how much I miss NC
