I got moved into my new house last Friday. I've been moving heavy things since Wednesday, so that should count for something.

Deadlifted WAY too much on Saturday. I was already using all my big weights, so I just thought maybe I should try putting all the weights I had on the bar. Fuck it, right?
I think it's like 265#, plus the bar. So it ended up being about 40 pounds over my max, but caveman brain didn't want to do math. I was like, ah, just lift that shit and see what happens. So I did it, and I was like, well, it kinda worked. I got it all the way up. So I did it four more times. Then my lower back muscles, whatever the filets are called, they're all, "Bro, why the fuck'd you do that?" Two days later, I'm like, hey, can you guys lift some more? And they's all, uhh, nope. Had to download my squats to 210# just to get through all my sets, then pussed out and just did bench and abs. Fuck it, I'll do more tomorrow. |

Labrum is super fucked...torn and folded over. Surgery on Thursday. Supposedly FULL recovery is nine to twelve months, so I should be good to go come next May/June. I'll be in a sling for a month, PT starts Friday though.
It is possible that it is still attached to the bone, so I'll just need it trimmed, but I'm counting on at least three anchors right now. eta...it tore because I was thinking about starting Crossfit and the labrum figured, what the hell, let's just get this over with... |

After last week's grind (three tries to get my 430 5x5 squat), today went stunningly well.
435# squats, 5x5, powered through that shit, felt a lot easier than Saturday's 430. 155# bench, 5x5, done 155#barbell row, 5x5, I'm calling the last rep JUST barely not good, redo on Saturday. Chug 2 MexiCokes.

Was in full on beast mode today. Was throwing the weight to the ground on the power cleans because it wasn't falling fast enough.

In addition to my normal workout at lunch today (3x3@385 squats among other things), this evening I went out to my hotashell did:
500m row 10x modified bear complex (115# clean, front squat, strict press, back squat, back-rack pushpress), no letting go. 500m row Took about 8 minutes. Then my pathetic chest work: 2x10@115 10@125 13@135 (as many as I could do) These on the floor, bridging it into position with my hips. Trying to make an effort to do chest at least once a week, since the only real chest workout I get is pushups (and burpees). My max in the not distant past was 165, and yes, Cake, I'll have a bench soon, calm your tits. I'm broke, at the moment.

Also did a bunch of plyo type excersizes. Ima be sore in the morning |
