Just throw this out there....

From 1987-2000, FSU had more top 5 finishes then the entire SEC combined.

Edit: point being, college football will ebb and flow. Out of conference change up,is a good thing. If you think the SEC will dominate forever you're kidding yourself. They've already started to see others mounting challenges.

RE: ebb & flow ...

From 2001 - 2012 the SEC has more teams in the top 5 every year than FSU had the entire 12 year period, with the exception of 2005 when they tied FSU's # @ 0.

From 1995 - 2008 bama had zero top 5 finishes. In the next 4 years, they won 3 National Championships.

I agree that there is ebb and flow. I remember thinking back in the mid 2000s that nobody could stop USC & Texas. Times change.

Yeah, that was back in the day when a fellow could buy a bumper sticker that said "Honk if you've coached at Bama."

Care to bet a PMAG/point on that "really really good chance?"

If KY wins I send you a PMAG for each point they win by.

When Miss State wins, you send me a PMAG for each point they win by.

Have MSU and Kentucky kicked off yet?

I'm stuck watching the end of an absolutely boring Virgina and UNC game. There's 5 minutes left in the game. So they won't show MSU game for another 15 mins.

This is bullshit CBS. Start your ACC games earlier. Every 3:30 game has this problem.

No freaking way. KY lost to the gators. That automatically disqualifies them from top ten consideration regardless of their record or proSEC media bias.

Without that lose they would be GTG for next week's top 10.

Clangers can be beat...today showed that they give it up yards on defense.

Also...Prescott isn't a Heisman QB imo, I think Mariotta is a much better over-all QB.

I can't wait to see what Mark Stoops has this Kentucky football team looking like a couple years from now. He is way ahead of schedule in his efforts to rebuild this program. Last year (his first), this team didn't have the talent to beat Sun Belt teams. In his 2nd season, we are sitting at 5-2 and giving the #1 team in the country their toughest challenge of the season thus far. We still have a ways to go (especially special teams play), but this is starting to look like an SEC caliber football team. With another season and another recruiting class coming aboard, I think this will be a team that can compete against anybody. Being a conference doormat and a joke for so many years, I will be thrilled if we can start to carry our share of the weight and perform like an SEC program should perform. I freaking LOVE what Mark Stoops is bringing to this program.

Yup...they gave up a ton of yards on defense. Kentucky could have upset them, no kidding. If their defense could have a least slowed MSU down, this would have been a different game.
