Got a combat cock the other day. Thing is a riot. Looks like they have some good gear. There is a video of them trying to pull apart two of their belts with trucks. Looks like extremely stout stuff. I will defiantly be looking to purchase a belt in the upcoming future.
They went through a rough spell a couple/few years back but they are good to go now.
The last couple of orders I've placed with them have been great. |
I have a cobra belt for about a year that I wear daily. It's still going strong today and makes an excellent gun belt. They make great gear.
Yep. Store used to be in oceanside. some controversy around some people that were involved with the business. but the product was good.
Used to be able to ID their gear because they used a darker color for the edges. gave it a recognizable look. |
One day I will get a micro-rig. It's good stuff but there can be issues with wait times etc. Some members have had bad experiences with the owner. See the tacked thread in the tactical gear forum for details.
There's a hate thread around here that's stickied. John refered to it today on their FB page cursing arfcom. That being said I have their Stacked Micro Rig and it's top notch.
Happy with my gear. Very stout can't believe it made it through my deployment.
The guy is a convicted felon IIRC.
That said I had an SOE holster and belt from before the split and it was a solid piece of gear. I'd rather give money to not felons though. |

I bought my Velcro-backed shotgun cards before I knew about that tidbit. They're bombproof, but there are many more top-quality gear makers out there and therefore no reason to bother with a felon. |

I'm a bit surprised that no one has mentioned the Special Operations Executive....does the OSS even ring a bell? Jedburgh teams? How soon we forget.

I have read that thread in the EE. A while back a buddy suggested I "like" the SOE page on facebook. I did just to see their stuff. Then I started seeing all his posts about stupid customers and getting really upset over little things. He certainly speaks his mind on facebook. |

He makes good stuff but so do other people. I seem to remember that is what keeps him from getting .gov contracts also. The tactical fashion movement and airsoft has really lowered the quality of gear in the last 10yrs. Look what happened to Eagle. People complain about LBT prices but when you really need something they usually have it. Keeping the MSRP retard-high has a way of keeping out the riff-raff. Buy 20 of something on a purchase order or call and talk to a human with your company AMEX and prices get more reasonable. |

They still charge the same prices. I don't see how that's related to airsoft. Even though I sort of agree with your sentiment. LBT is full retard prices for stuff thats really not all that innovative gear wise. |

I've had a rigger belt since 2007. It still sees daily(minus the weekends) wear with no issues.

And yeah, OSOE makes great gear and from what I understand, it is made to order. |

Outstanding gear from a guy with very questionable business ethics. Seems like the odds of him ripping you off now are pretty slim, but there are still people out there who haven't recieved gear or refunds from around 2006. John seems to feel that he filled enough of the backlog to make it okay.

The owner has stiffed a few people on their gear. The simple fact is he could step forward and make good at anytime but hasn't. Kind of a nice ole fuck you to anyone who complained that they didn't get what they paid for. That, in and of itself, ensures I will never spend a dime on his gear.

But you know that, since you have been posting in there. If there were nothing more than the OP of that thread and his story, $545 vanished into the SOE black hole, that would be enough to give anybody pause. As it is, there's a great deal more solid evidence that this guy is a crook, and that he has the business ethic of a broken vending machine. At least some of that evidence is from staff and moderators of this very forum. Why would that not be good enough for you? |
