Rocket powered 9mm. They're pretty rare, I'd sale it to a neckbeard for $15.00.

I got a round of 7mm weatherby in a box of 7mm rem mag from remington once. Shot a deer and could not figure why I could not chamber the second round

would anything even happen if he tried to shoot it? Firing pin would not touch?

You should email remington about it. Seriously. I had a case split from a new box of .223 UMC ammo. I emailed them and told them. They sent me a prepaid fedex label to ship it back. Got a check for $15 a couple weeks later. They said it was a problem with the annealing process.

No. The primer is right side up. The rest of the round is upside down. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

fortunately the round would not chamber. I had loaded up in the dark before hunting and never thought of inspecting the rounds View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

It gets a little out of control. For factory ammo, a visual inspection and running the ammo through the gun will pick up 90% of possible issues. Scaling and mic'in them will usually get the rest. |

Technically, you were a little more than half way through it.

See that one on the bottom, right corner? Don't shoot that one.

Definitely contact Remington. I bet you would get a real nasty surprise if you tried to shoot that.

You found one of only five hidden secret Golden Wonka cartridges. Now you get a free tour of the factory.
Tip: Don't touch the river of priming compound. ETA: I just noticed your post. Great minds think alike. Quoted:

View Quote I was running the shoot house at the Utah State Sniper Match last year, and one of the competitors had a box of RemUMC 9mm where one of the cartridges was dented in at the base, to the point of penetration of the case, and powder spilling out. I still have it. Looks like some of the tooling impacted the cartridge, making it useless or dangerous. I doubt it would chamber, but if it did, you would blow the mag out probably. |

Remington ammo is shit which is a shame because the Core-Lok bullet is one of the best hunting bullets ever made.

I bought some .270 Win ammo at the local sporting good store. In the middle of the box was a .243 Win round. First thing the store owner says when I tell him is, of course, "Do you own a .243"? as if I had mixed it up myself. I did not, in fact, own a .243.

Primed upside down. Only see that in reloads usually. Never seen it in factory ammo. QC is supposed to catch that.

I've seen that before.
Quality control, eh, most of the time is good enough. |
