Very sorry. I miss my cat so much, had to put her down a couple months ago.....she had been with me for 17 years, it's tough that's for sure.

My brother brought Ashton home to us as a Christmas gift in 2003. They said he was a she, being that little we couldn't tell otherwise. So, we had at first named him Ashley. That is, until we took him to the vet. We always called him Ash for short, so we just changed his name from Ashley to Ashton!
Ashton would never get under the covers. He'd like to sleep in-between your legs in bed too. But if you tried to cover him up to be cute, he wouldn't have it. My brother rescued an alley cat in the middle of a snowy winter and she would burrow herself so far under the covers I couldn't believe it. Just a few more photos I'll put up and then let it rest. Crowned Kitty (2013): 
He put up with this for a whole minute, which was surprising. He liked Christmas though, playing with the ribbons and some mischief knocking ornaments down out of the tree. One year I remember he even ran up the tree! Best Grumpy Cat Impression (2012): 
Getting a Drink (2009): 
Along with getting drinks out of the bathtub faucet, Ashton loved drinking out of the watering can. In fact, every time you filled it up he would loudly demand to have first dibs. Catwalk (2009): 
He got to have quite the belly on him until his surgery. He could still jump pretty well and heights didn't scare him. Stalking (2009):

Sorry you lost your buddy.
I have a 16 year old cat that I don't think is much longer for this world. She's the only cat I know of that LOVES to get in the shower with me every day, and just soak up the warmth of the water. |

They told us Pee was a girl too.. And that she / he was the runt and would be under 10 pounds..
We were at the vet to get his first shots and kept calling him a her.. The vet was all WTF? She had a penis... That runt is 23 pounds of giant Tom cat now.. Jack Bauer and Pew are sad about Ashton, as am I.. So sorry. |

Sweet cat. He looks just like Bandit, my special cat. When I broke up with an ex 9 years ago she couldn't take "our kitten" with her. I hated cats but that little bastard convinced me that I actually do...

I gave my cat one of her favorite treats tonight, shrimp heads. She goes nuts over shrimp heads.
So sorry about the loss of your furry friend. I must admit , I got a little chuckle over the picture of Ashton sleeping next to the Field Guide to Birds. |
