I want to buy a bunch of brass coming up for auction that requires an End User Certificate.

On the form it asks me to check one of the following:

Sole Proprietor, Partnership, Corporation, or Other (please specify). Then it wants a tax ID number.

I plan to resell the brass but do not have a business.  Can I select the "other" box and just put "private ownership" or "private resale" etc?

Or would it be best if I just started a sole proprietorship and used my SSN for my tax ID number?

Great minds think alike

They have several different 1,000ish pound lots coming up. 9mm, 5.56 and 50 BMG.

I'm driving to clarkseville, TN soon, myself.  As soon as EUC clears.

As far as EUCs go, there's a reason GL includes "examples" of what to put in each field.

One of those lots is mine, I do not plan on neckbearding it.

Also did you read where it takes some 60 days to get your first EUC approved?

Yes, yes I did.

I guess we'll be in a bidding war then, cause I plan on swooping all the lots.

Not sure about Alaska but you can get a tax id online in Missouri in about 15 minutes and 7 bucks.

The other problem is most of these are Winchester brass which isn't as good as LC, and we have no idea if any of it is blanks

Heh, hope you've actually gone on site and verified.

Also...have you seen how much they've gone for in previous auctions?

Since when is WCC not as good as LC?

The different .mil headstamp 5.56 can behave slightly differently in a press, so I sort before processing.   But so far as I can tell, it's all pretty uniform in quality.   The FC non-nato headstamped stuff seems a little harder.

Don't throw away your blanks.  Some of us neck chop them for .300 blk brass.

174 for 2100 is pretty close to retail prices so yeah, not much profit there.
