So I had this sweet candy assed lightweight dissy build. Cav arms lower, custom lightweight upper, etc. Like 5 lbs loaded.

Lower went tits up putting an ambi safety in. Said fuck it, ordered a new lower and parts, trying to put a cav arms stock on with a daniel defense sling attachment. Frakking stock won't stay on. Needs new buttplate.

Anyone installed an a1 buttplate assy? Should I just buy the stock and assembly together?

Like a mofackle. Can't bring myself to do it again for the stock, grip and mags. Meh.

Any regular A1 or A2 buttplate will work, the one you have pictured that comes with the C1 stock is pretty much a throwaway.

Note the duct tape? Lower was already spreading apart on the top seam.

I got one of the last ones made. Ie. when ATF was after them and quality control was shit.

GWACS will rerun it for about $35 and you can at least have a functional CAV-15 again.

You say the buttplate won't stay on. Is the top screw not threading on? That is the part that holes the stock on, the bottom screw just holds the bottom part of the buttplate in place.

If you take the time, you should be able to do a custom paint job in multicam if you want it all to match.
