350 pounds would shatter that glass table its on.
Just pick it up to move it to the basement or maybe have mom help you carry it. |
|
Sanitize it thoroughly first. You never know what may be on it. |
|
|
What are you trying to do with it? move it to a different room? Move it to your home? Throw it away?
I/We had the same TV in 2008. Don't bother trying to do anything to it by yourself. You need two or three people to move it down stairs. Pick up truck/minivan/suv with seat folded to transport it. It's a big bitch, but it does fit through doorways. |

na its close to propably 100. Ok , the 350 part is overexaggeration point is, as others said (and so did I in 1st post) it has no places to get a grip of. I already cut myself pretty bad on the bottom parts. Not sure why JVC didn't grind down their plastic but damn I got a deep cut Instructions on moving TV. 1. Put on gloves. 2. Me and my friends just through one of those away.
It had one of the best pictures of a non HD CRT I ever saw. Even had component inputs |

I helped move a 300+ pound TV (Pioneer Elite 60" mid-90s) down some stairs. When it was retired last year, it got disassembled and walked up in pieces.
|
|
Also two of us carried it 150 yards with no issues. Didn't need any breaks either, so it definitely wasn't 350lbs. I'm talking about the 32" version

Or It could weigh 114lbs

OP, just go to the nearest retirement community and find a couple of guys that don't need a walker yet. Offer them breakfast at a Waffle House if they will help you. Point at TV, point to where you would like it to be. Take old guys to breakfast.

Yeah, if that TV weighs anywhere near 350 pounds it's filled with lead shot. The TV weighs 114.4lbs. The rest of the weight is OP's purse. http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/00/63/15.PDF Thank you. I was going to call him on that. OP, find an adult male and have him bear hug the TV and move it to wherever you want. |

looks like a 32"-36" tv it DOES not weigh 350lbs

Like a Boss. I bought a new tv with free delivery and pickup of my old tv from Best Buy. Good bye 36" Sony Wega HD XBR Tube tv 180lbs. View Quote That would be the way to do it! I wanted to get rid of my old 36" Wega in the master bedroom. Those things have a thick glass flatscreen and weigh quite a bit. Getting it up there was easy- I was having the housewarming party when I bought the place, handing out free beer and booze and said, "Who's going to help me move this thing up there?" To get rid of it, I did have to ask around awhile. Found a guy who's kid killed their LCD with a Wii remote, so the deal was free TV if you help me hump it down the stairs and directly out to your car. Good trade. |
