Better keep an eye on that shit West of Ft. Worth moving East--> ....

Hail blows through here at least once a year.  Once every 5-10 years it actually hits your house and you get a new roof.   I don't think anybody in the DFW area pays for their own roofs.

The dry line has stalled to the west of Ft Worth...these cells will continue to develop along it until it gets pushed eastward later tonight.

Watched a funnel develop right over lake Lewisville about 20 minutes ago. It died out before it turned into anything.

I feel sorry for who ever is east of the lake tonight.

Hey, at least your hail brought the beer and ammo with it.

Getting some light hail now in Roanoke. The power lines in this area are not worth a shit. I hope the power stays on. Truck is in the garage and I have a flash light and beer at the ready.

What's ironic about that kind of hail damage, half the cars damaged in it will likely have been sitting outside of a garage while $200 bucks worth of junk filled their garage.

(obviously not referring to the vehicles that were at shops/work ect)

Kids and wife in shelter with the 870 ready to go.

Got some cool pics of the clouds over the house earlier.

Got some 3/4" hail just a bit ago, nothing big enough to call into Skywarn yet.  Now 1" hail...  Yay

Just saw all of this. Hope all the Arfcommers are safe down there.

As someone else mentioned, I hope the heavy winter in the North doesn't translate to an extreme spring for you guys.

Some of this is close to golf-ball size.  Haven't been able to check out the house between the hail and the sheets of rain.  Will have to wait until the morning

For the record, I'm 6'6" and have good sized hands

Some hail here in Allen--2-2.5 in diameter.  Most much smaller.  Heavy rains and high winds.

Looks like it is moving north of Allen and along 380.

Stay safe guys and gals. I'm watching this system closely, as we have to fly our Maule (single prop plane) back to NC from FL.

I'm just a few miles from where those photos were taken. That is a newer shopping center had to close a few businesses down as sun lights were blown out of the building.

That storm passed over my house with no issue other than rain, a mile east and baseball size hail was busting out windows.

A bit later the bigger storm came through, I have pictures of the funnel coming down from the back door.  Golf ball + size hail covered the yard and so on. No real damage thankfully.  A bit west of here (about 5 miles or so from where the pictures were taken) there are piles of hail in fields and covering bar ditches still standing 2 hours after the initial hit.

I saw the storm off to the south last night and was wondering if we were going to get hit (up in Wichita Falls)...I take it we were lucky

We're debating if we should head that way. We really enjoyed Allen a few years ago. That storm went all the way up into IL.

Hope everybody is OK.

No.  Only North DFW area.  Anywhere south of Plano was mostly spared.
