Moderate Republicans team up with labor unions to defeat the tea party in 2014

A Republican super PAC committed to defeating the tea party in 2014 congressional primaries is mostly funded by labor unions.

The super PAC Defending Main Street, formed by moderate Republican and former congressman Steve LaTourette, has committed itself to destroying tea party challenges to establishment GOP candidates in the 2014 midterm elections.

“Hopefully we’ll go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them,” LaTourette said.

You know the GOP fubar'ed when they are more worried about the Tea Party than the Democrats, so worried that start holding labor unions hands for support.

When I lived back East, I heard a very simple truth:

The Yankee Republican party was just a place where Democrats who didn't want to wait to run for office went.

I never realized what a huge divide had been created in the Republican party till I started reading the posts of my lobbyist friend in DC.  He spends more time criticizing the tea party then he does democrats.  It is pathetic how out of touch those assholes get when they go to DC.

The GOP establishment can try as they might to defeat the "Tea Party" but they will ultimately fail. The RINOs will be purged from the party, the only question is whether they will be purged while the Republican party still exists, or after it ceases to exist. Either way, the RINOs are on the way out. And they know it.

The GOP needs to die.

I say this as a life long Republican.

Just get rid of the RINO element.  Start right now by removing Boehner as Speaker.  The primary his butt so he and most other moderates are gone.

Who's the biggest threat to the GOP ?

The Dems??...phffft , no.

Answer:  Tea Party candidates.

The GOP would sell their grandmother to a Japanese grannie fetish porn ring if it would help get rid of TP candidates.

They are like TICKS.  Too dug in to eliminate.

We really need a three party system:

Progressives (Communists, leftists)

Centrists (wishy washy fucks who can't make a decision)

Tea Party (Constitutionists)

To what end?

The Tea Party is made up largely of disenfranchised conservatives along with independents and libertarians. It is a great way to create a third party and ensure the GOP is irrelevant for ever.

The better path is to take over the county level party committees and launch primary challenges like we're doing now.  Building a third party from scratch is a huge undertaking.

Reagan actively campaigned for the Union vote in his 1980 run...

Romney was castigated by ~some so-called "conservatives" and he spent his entire professional life trying to destroy Unions...

That might have something to do with the identities and loyalties of the people who annouce the "winner" of the Iowa caucuses.

It might also have to do with the identites and loyalties of the people who are large political donors.

First choice... Tea Party.

Keep in mind, Big-government, big-taxes Santorum had ~some "Tea Party" support early in the 2012 run-up.

Big-government, more-rules, more-regulation so-called "social conservatives" call themselves "tea party" some times.

Sharon Angle called herself "Tea Party" in her wholesale defeat by vulnerable Harry Reid.

There wasnt any aspect of her campaign that was "conservative." Her campaign slogan could have very-well been, "I am the biggest retard on the ticket, vote for me."

She wasnt known as a conservative in Nevada, she wanted bigger-government and increasing rules for consenting adults, and more government to enforce the rules. She called for more government, more taxes, and more regulation. She criticized Reagan, she wasnt the "Establishent" because she was considered an illiterate big-government, imbecile by anyone who knew her in Nevada. Conservatives considered her a liability, Democrats thought she was retarded.

So when she ran, with no support, she called herself the "tea party" candidate... Against solid *real* outside-the-establishment conservatives who polled better than Reid, and resonated with Nevada voters..."

She got big-government religious folks to call her the "tea party" candidate (even though her record was far, far from "taxed enough already") and she won.

Then she got gutted when actual fiscal conservatives wouldn't endorse her big-government platform, and she began opening her mouth in public. If Republicans had left her in a padded room, and denied her any public appearances, they might have beat Reid. He was that vulnerable... None of the Nevada newspapers would endorse him (until after Angle was the alternative)...

The "tea party" (wrongly applied) was the best thing that could happen for Harry Reid... And big-government rape-abortion "tea party" Buck vs. Bennett here in Colorado meant a big win for liberal Democrat Bennett. Buck wasnt "taxed enough already" tea-party... He was "no abortion for rape victims, big-government, big-taxes, and big-rules." And Bennett coasted to a solid win for liberal Democrats... And Buck called his big-rules, big-taxes, big-government platform "tea party" up to the day of his loss.

Same with Akin, Moudock, and Odonnell. Huge wins for democrats in key vulnerable senate races... And they all called themselves "tea party" candidates...!?!?

Yeah, someone running under the label "tea party" may not necessarily be an asset to our side... That is the truth learned from Buck, Angle, Odonnell, Akin, etc.

They may very-well be trying to fight to lose to send a message for their pet big-government big-taxes cause...

From making abortion about rape to more rules for consenting adults... Some so-called "tea party" candidates are anything but, and they sometimes try to lose to send a message for their pet expand-government-reach issue...
