There are a couple (at least) of kinds. The "nice one" IMHO is the MISR S/A. All Egyptian except the US fire control set. You have to use a US floorplte and follower in each mag to keep street legal. You can add some US parts yourself if you want to use off the shelf mags without risking club fed. I went with the K-Var US made polymer stock set.
The Egytian guns are made on tooling made in and brought to egypt by the Soviets. Thus it is a very close copy of the original. Problem is assembly. They were not all put togethjer straight, and almost every one was painted black with a thick paint. If you can get one that isn't canted, and don't mind refinishing, it ends up sweet.
The second, lesser Maadi (again IMHO) is the Misr 10. This is some Egyptian parts and some Chinese parts assembled to make one gun.
