After a long overdue revamp on the venerable Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban and the GMC Yukon/Yukon XL, both brands have revealed their new 2015 models today. http://media.caranddriver.com/images/13q3/539111/2015-chevrolet-tahoe-photo-539112-s-520x318.jpg http://media.caranddriver.com/images/13q3/539111/2015-chevrolet-tahoe-interior-photo-539114-s-520x318.jpg http://media.caranddriver.com/images/13q3/539159/2015-gmc-yukon-xl-photo-539314-s-520x318.jpg http://media.caranddriver.com/images/13q3/539159/2015-gmc-yukon-denali-photo-539311-s-520x318.jpg View Quote Both look like good trucks to drive over a cliff then set on fire. Fuck union scumbags and the Commie they personaly put into the whitehouse. |

Welcome to the next new thing, looks the same as the last new thing...

|
Oh look, a large, unnecessary mom mobile that is built by unions and company saved by taxpayer dollars.
Wonderful. |

Gah, looks like a Tahoe fucked a Chrysler product. Do not like
|
|
|
Meh.... Pointy elbows wouldn't hit.... erm uh, I mean... it's just ugly..
|
|
They look fucking retarded......literally....they look handicapped.

Wow, they really went all out on the re-style.
Fuck them. Bring back the 73-87 K5 Blazer, or else go die. |

Oh look, a large, unnecessary mom mobile that is built by unions and company saved by taxpayer dollars. Wonderful. Unnecessary? Yes, unnecessary. The Tahoe and Yukon are aimed at women. Large accessories, like handbags, to them. You want to haul stuff around? Get a truck. SUV's are minivans on steroids. Which doesn't change the point, screw GM and the democrats that have infected it. |

Reminds me of a Ford. Cross between an explorer and an excursion. I like the current better as well but not a fan of the huge bumper covers. Already broken one on my work vehicle by hitting a 20 lb dog. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

hate to sound like a stick in the mud, but i dont like that as much as the current models. Reminds me of a Ford. Cross between an explorer and an excursion. Just what I was thinking GM really needs to get better designers |

How about some engine and transmission info OP?
Some of us are only interested in yanking the drivetrains out of these rolling parts bins and installing them in nice automobiles. |

First thing that I thought too. The new Explorer sits lower because there is no frame. The new GM stuff looks like it sits lower. I'm guessing there is no frame on these new models either. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Which doesn't change the point, screw GM and the democrats that have infected it. SUVs are people haulers, but also offer more utility than a truck for many people. They also tow a shit load more than a minivan. I had a 1/2 ton truck - sold it and bought a full-size SUV. It's better at everything, except maybe hauling dirt. SUV + trailer (boat, ATV, etc.) = win! My wife's "mom mobile" has 4 doors, a trunk and twin turbos. She rarely and reluctantly drives our other vehicles. |

View Quote Mounted at the front of each SUV is an EcoTec3 powertrain, which consists of a standard 355-horsepower, 5.3-liter V8 (or a 420-hp, 6.2-liter V8 for the GMC Yukon Denali alone) with direct injection, cylinder deactivation and continuously variable valve timing, that's paired with a Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission |

You know what that means.... Good deals on used current-gen models once these come out, and the soccer moms have to have the new ones.
Although, I have to say, I saw huge crap-loads of Suburbans at my kids' school right up until last year, then suddenly, the number dropped very sharply. They all went to smaller SUVs or Honda/Toyota minivans. |

SUV's are minivans on steroids. View Quote Sure, if by "Minivan on steroids" you mean "take the chassis, transmission, engine, suspension, transfer case, steering, locking differential, and everything else from a truck, and put an SUV body on it." Yes, there are some that are just minivans - or even passenger cars - with SUV bodies, but those aren't the ones we're talking about. |

Meh, they're just bloated cars, like most modern suv's.
I think the WJ was the last grocery getter suv that had a fantastic suspension setup. Pretty soon there are going to be three chassis per manufacturer, and they're going to call them 12 different vehicles. |
