Ok i ordered up a 25 amp SSR for my printer bed. and received the relay on the bottom. box was marked 5-60v DC, hooked it up and it lived a short hot life. take a look at the amazon add Now look at the bottom relay in the pic.

Thinking WTF I looked at the makers website and found this doc. http://www.fotek.com.tw/pdf/2013515_87659853.PDF again WTF the polarity is swapped! Now I ordered a second one form another vender and got the top relay. Hey that looks more like it! Hooked it up and no over heat and working like it should.

So did I get stung with a Chinese knock off of a Chinese SSR?

and yes I did the pry mark on the second relay, the guts are completely different, and you can see where 2 items are screwed down on the back.

If the Chinese want to offer off-brand knock-offs, I'm okay with that.  But counterfeiting and putting a "real" company's name onto a cheap knock-off?  Every time I see that, it just makes me want to sever trade relations with them.
That'd get your company's assets seized and you fined and possibly jailed here.  In China, the government encourages it and sees it as a good thing.  Anything to help China and hurt the rest of the world.

What you using it for? I've had a couple of those for a while for a robotics project I did with my son. Seems to have worked great, but we don't use it that often.

Ah thats a DC-AC one. Im using DC-DC now Fotek does have a 24-220 relay but its marked as a H so the part number on teh front would be SSR-25 DD H. But the polarity is backwards form the one i got. even if it was a miss ship.
