Looks like it would fit in a pouch just the same. Possible want.

Dang, you guys got yours fast. I don't even have a shipping notice yet.

Can you put the bodies with the 30 on top of the 40 to show true perspective and can we see the spring and follower differences?
|
|
The way they sit creates an illusion that its only a tad bit longer.
Will you take a pic with them swapped in place and other pics too? Maybe a front view with the feed lips aligned. |

The 40 is a lot longer than that picture would suggest. Put two 30s next to each other like in the picture and the mag on the right will look longer. In the OP's picture the 40 on the left looks longer. It's not huge, but it's significantly longer than a 30. |

About how much longer is it OP? It looks like an inch or so. The 40 rounder is 2 1/8" longer then the PMAG M3 30 rounder. |

To half the posters in this thread.....
That's what She said. |

Pricing? $19.95 retail Who's got them in stock? |

Looks like it might be slightly awkward to get out of some pouches depending on placement but it doesn't look that big for a 10 round addition to capacity.

Only pouch I would put a 40 rounder in is a dump pouch after expending all round from it. I see extended round magazines as excellent for movement to contact or assaulting through an ambush when superior firepower is necessary to overwhelm the enemy. But their unique size makes the sort of a pain in the ass to carry around as a reload. |

Left mag would be about half the distance from bottom of left mag to the bottom of picture if they were both the same distance on top.

I've found that the difference between my old metal GI-style 40-rounders and D&H 30-rounders hasn't been a problem for me. If anything the 40-rounders were a pain due to feed issues until I swapped the Magpul followers from some D&H mags into the 40 rounders. I'm sure that with 40-round PMags that issue will not exist to start with.

Thanks for the pics and comparison. I will buy a bunch of these in the future.

Hopefully the One Big Mag is enough to get you through. |

They changed the base plate design...how am I supposed to attach a Nordic +18?

Tag. This wouldn't fit in my pouches for work, but might make a great primary mag for my patrol rifle.
