I've had this one for 26 years.. 
And my prized build. (Only 1 part is Ruger.. the Magazine. )
This reminds me.. I need a set of low rings for that build.  *Runs off to spend money*

Anyone in tonight? Nice rifles folks. I have two kids guns. But I like shooting them almost more than she does.
CZ 452 ZKM scout. Have the single shot mag and three 5 rounders. Very accurate but needs better sights. The other A Remington 541 I think barrel shortened but stock is standard length. Great for a fast growing teen.

TGIF Sa/oU!!!!
Tranquil drive to work, not much traffic on the highway or state pd presence which is very unusual; a lot of people must have the day off. What y'all got for exciting weekend plans? Nothing here.  Gun show this weekend, it's about 1 hour from my residence. Went last year, can't think of anything really want or need. Asked a couple friends if they would like to take a ride & maybe lunch but no interest, oh-well. Told the x would pup-sit his 2 dogs, so house full of paws is all that is on the agenda. Going to dust, clean & scrub the abode, watch night NASCAR races & sleep till I'm not tired. In any of you are so inclined please say a prayer for homeboy of mine M4-CQBR. He could really use some positive energy, divine intervention, been pretty sick & in constant pain.  |

Friday and got off early.
 ..Daughter is sick and will not be coming over this weekend.
Looking on the bright side though. I get to pick the pizza. Hand tossed thin crust with extra sauce meaty. I think that's pepperoni. sausage, ground beef, ham and bacon. But then again it's been a while since I've had their sausage meatball mushroom one though.
Any ideas? |

The work week is done. It was hot today. Summer should be winding down but we had one of our hottest days yet. After I have a couple glasses of water I'm starting on Margarita's if I have the stuff. If not, Maker's Mark it is.

Love the 10/22s! And almost got into a CZ a while back. I may look into a Manlicher stocked one after the toy fund rebuilds.
MissB, what do you think of that Allen Tactical bag? I've been looking for something to carry my pistol in (other than the cardboard PSA box) and don't want to make a major investment in one. I don't want a gun case that looks like a gun case. Thinking about going to the local music store and see what they have on the junk pile. 28-32 inches would be right.
M1, I would have liked to have gotten my daughter shooting earlier but puberty might have gotten much worse than it was. Ah well, they are all different.
Gonna be quieter around here. We delivered our daughter to college for the fall semester. Actually managed to fit most of her stuff into the car. Not a lot of room in an xD but at least we didn't need the trailer. We'll just take the rest down next month on parents day. Summer break may take a little planning though.
Made it to the Berea show last weekend and picked up a few things. Was looking for a PPK to carry but found an early Beretta 84 in nice condition at a decent price. Had one in the 80's and it was one of the guns I regretted selling. (The other is a Browning BL92) Everything looked ok with it at the time but like a dumb ass didn't field strip it (or try to) until I got home. Seems the 84 has an issue where the slide wont come off after it's been used a while or run heavy loads. Bla bla, google, bla bla Beretta forums bla bla, got it loose, bla bla, little filing and good as used.
It's a bit bigger and fatter than the PPK but it's a joy to shoot. |

We traded out our 10-22s and sold a CZ Scout to changeover wholesale to the M&P15-22... (Though my old 10-22 w/a holographic tiger striped stock managed to avoid the purge)

The only .22LR long guns I have right now are the Henry levergun and the .22LR/20ga Rossi Youth Combo (which technically is still 'mine', at least for now).
I need to add another, but I really haven't been in any rush since I've barely been shooting the .22s I have . . .
I'm a big fan of 10/22s but it's been a few years since I've owned one. Oh, and that purple 10/22 of Starlight's is a real beauty!
