In the spirit of Cola Warrior, which challenges anyone who may dare attempt it, I would like to start an accountability/training thread for next year's competition.  In this thread, we can discuss our strengths, weaknesses, and what we are doing to improve.  Please feel free to share any ideas you might have that could help your fellow competitors.

This thread is for ANYONE who wants to make themselves better, not just limited to Cola Warriors.

If you do not know what Cola Warrior is, check out the following links:

I will start out with what I have done so far.  When I committed to coming to CW3, I immediately joined a gym.  I have lost over 30 pounds so far in the last few months.

My workouts are improving tremendously, I hit 250 on my squat workouts today.    Shooting for 300 in the next 3 months.  I have also started HIIT training with the sled, which is my sworn enemy right now.

I also plan to shoot a LOT more this year, I was disappointed in that area.  I will definitely incorporate getting my heart rate up prior to shooting, that really changed my accuracy.

My goal for next year is a sub 20 minute run.  My goal for this past year was sub 30, and I barely made it, but proud nonetheless.

Meh, 12oz curls nightly for me

I am going to start back my running, and hopefully I ammo will become available so I can resume shooting a few thousand rounds a month.

I think I'm going to start running as soon as my gf's foot gets better. I think I will start doing situps along with my 20 lb. dumbell workout too.

I have no idea how to get better at holding down soda. Only got two in.

Oh and I'll need to practice pistol shooting while I can't breathe. or just bring 6 mags.

After the braves game, if y'all want to crash at my place, we can practice chugging beer

I can take beer. I can't do the cokes. I don't even see how its possible.

I think I'll try Mountain Dew next year.

Thats why I did Coke this year, to pop my cherry.

I could do Pepsi just as easy as Mountain Dew.

I'm in decent running shape, but that didn't really make that much of a difference because of how insanely muddy it was Saturday - especially after the right turn to the range.  Holy crap!  It wasn't as much about speed as it was about footing and balance.  I almost ate it at three different points, and needed a hand on the ground twice to keep me from going ass over teakettle.

I went down once, it was brutal.  Of course, I am a little top heavy.

I think being able to run without my heart being near 200 bpm would help me shoot a LOT better.  I will definitely be running more.

I ate right.

I started eating better about 3 weeks before Cola Warrior and lost about 12 pounds.

I ran Cola Warrior at 250lbs.

Next year I'm aiming to be 170lbs.

I'm also going to get a new gym membership soon.

I ate a Mickey D's extra value meal and drank a Coke.

I've been riding ten to fifteen miles a day on my mountain bike, a combination of street and trail riding, plus running errands on the bike every chance I get.

I run two to three days a week, and I'm looking to add more upper body to my workouts soon. I have a pull up bar over my kitchen door, so I'll start paying for my foods and dranks with pullies every time I go in the kitchen.

Cola Warror 4 will get here before we know it.

Cola Warrior is definitely on my list of things to do.  I really wish I would've sacked up and went to the first one.

At one point in my life I was in decent shape (but still overweight by at least 25 lbs), and then I graduated college and got a desk job for three years.  Before I knew it I was up 85 pounds.  I got married last May and since August of 2013 I've dropped 45 lbs in a very healthy manner (my wife is awesome and I don't know what I'd do without her, btw).

I'm 265 @ 6' right now, and my current goal is 250 by June 18th (my 31st birthday).  My long term goal is to approve of what I see in the mirror (whatever weight that might be) and to be able to physically do whatever I want to do.

My diet is very clean (paleo/primal based) and I drink nothing but water.  For exercise I've been doing Kettlebell workouts and hiking/biking/swimming.  When I reach 245 lbs I'm going to start P90x.

I have purposefully been trying to lose weight slowly, because I hope it will help prevent any sagging/loose skin issue.  So far it seems to be working even though I have no clue if my assumptions are correct or not.

As far as Cola Warrior goes, I need to focus on both aspects of the Conex box and the chugging.

Stay safe gents and train hard!

IN.

When I get off of this boat im going to join a gym and start working out. I have already lost a little by eating better. I want to be ready for CW4 hopefully ill be off and able to attend. Im also going to work on my shooting skills and peep eating ability.

RA is unhuman . His time is less than half the 2nd place time, of course he has home field advantage.

I hope if I am able to go I can at least finish in the bottom 1/3.

If I can make the list of 75 next year I'm in to represent Colorado.  I wanted to sign up this year but I thought I was going to get sent overseas for work.

There is a contruction site with a connex near the path of my afternoon jog.  I'll go see just how hard that is (I predict fail).

I'm also going to move my pistol plates out to 25 yards instead of the 15 I normally shoot them at.

Make sure to do 100 pushups eat a cheeseburger then run 1/2 mile before attempting any shooting.

That would be about the right simulation.

My ankles are still killing me (I guess from jumping in and out of the back of the 4x4 so much?), so I have to put off training for at least a few more days.

I think the big improvement in soda chugging I had this year is because I've increased my food intake significantly.  Y'all don't practice chugging, but rather practice binge eating.  It will help stretch your stomach.  Plus it help bulk you up for all those power cleans and presses you're doing.  You're doing those, right?  Mah!  I need more protein!!!

I figure it's either get RustedAce drunk or work on breakin his leg beforehand. Though I suspect RA can run on stubs and still beat us all by 4 minutes.
