I will be setting up a small, private 200m shooting range on my property this year
and need some inspiration.   I'd like to have atleast 2 benches set up for rifle use at the
200 meter mark, with some flavor of steel poppers for shotguns and pistols at about
the 25m line.

Is that all the space you will have or can you stretch it out a bit? I would get bored pretty quickly with 200m. Steels at 200m would be "not-too-big-a-problem" with handguns. Can you make it bigger?

I wish I had the land to make a private range...I have been dreaming of that for a while.

Still a work in progress, but functional.  Need gravel around the bench and in front of the wall/berm.  Need more dirt for the berm.  To name a couple of things.

Some of my range from shoots and gatherings over the years...it's changed and evolved.
It's 200 yards rifle, 25 yards pistol with armor gongs, action courses here and there.

Main firing line.

Bubba-engineered pop-can launcher:

Claybusting.

Any range where Subnet makes an appearance is got to be good, right?

i dont have a good down range shot, but there are piles of old christmas trees that we had removed and are full of dirt and crap, make good backstops. (property used to be used for christmas tree farming)

We built the exact same bench.   Can't remember where I found those plans, but that's it.

I forgot the best pictures of my range....the best hostage/perp target ever invented for tactical simulation. Nothing could be more unforgiveable than shooting The Hedgehog or Snoop Lion holding a bong.

Somewhere, there's a picture of an anatomically correct mannequin laying against a wood pile, with her legs wide open, having been shot to shit with a 1919.

I need to come back down there again.

It's my father-in-law's, not sure on the total acreage.  We usually have 3 or 4 big shoots every year where he cooks bbq (used to compete in the World Championship) on his rig that can do 90 slabs of ribs, 60 butts, or pretty much an elephant.  They're the highlights of my year.  On the weekends, it's just me by my lonesome.   He's more of a hunter than a shooter, but I'm converting him to love the evil black rifles.

There was a generator powering the lights on the bar. I think that was also the year I managed to get my jeep stuck in his creek.
