Well, they have guns... I'm guessing they won't be without food for too awfully long....

Quoted:
I just recieved a email this evening from leadership here and there will be some food stuff shortages due to Hurricane Sandy and the delayed effect that it had on shipping.

IOW, some types of food will be in short supply. They did not say what type of food. But we will have food.

Soylent Green, anyone?

They were usually pretty damn good about making sure we got fed even if it meant a box lunch or brown bag or a lowly MRE.

Shit I missed a few meals in the .mil due to F ups, no big deal.  hell one time when I was in the guard and got tasked out and came back to the food in the dumpster and the kitchen cleaned the NCO fund Sgt. handed us $50 to go eat in town and bring him the reciept.  Found a cheap local seafood place and was quite happy.

Frankly I can stand to miss a few meals these day.  Today was potato pancakes for BF and dinner was fried cabbage, home made pierogies and a polish style pork chop.  I may have missed a meal but i didn't miss a calorie I'm sure.
