Apparently as long as you make a video on youtube and tell everyone that you've asked God for forgiveness, it's ok... Like he said in the video, we have all done things we aren't proud of. He manned up and admitted he did wrong. It does hurt his credibility a bit, but it also shows that he's willing to take responsibility. HE GOT CAUGHT!!! He didn't confess because his conscience was bothering him. If he hadn't gotten nailed, he'd most likely still be cashing the paychecks. |

I've never seen a poser admit it and ask for forgiveness. I've seen lots of folks pretending, but not many willing to admit they fucked up. I'm a certified bad ass.........technician.  Not much good for anything else...

I honestly couldn't even get past the first 30 seconds.
for the 400th time, I understand that canterberry was portrayed in a way that was obvioulsy made to be appealing to the Arfcom style audience, while cody was portrayed to represent many of things that we as a community cant stand. but for anyone who only decently well read in most of the outdoor survival literature or has been involved with any of the reputable survival schools located throughout teh country , Lundin is looked up to and respected for his skills and abilities as a survivalist as well as an instructor, he is part of a very small group of notable instructors who all share a great deal of respect for each other and openly consider each other their peers which is plainlyobvious by anyone who has read or paid attention to any of the publications by the most notable survival instructors and who they ask to write their forwards in the opening sections of their books, and who they ask to lend quotes to dust jackets and what not. Cody Lundin is a premier survival expert and survival school instructor. forget all the nonsense that they got him to portray as part of their gimmick in order to sell the show. cody is the absolute real deal and nobody challenges it. Dave on the other hand althoughugh I have no problem with besides from the obvious, was simply a guy who made a bunch of well made youtube videos that got noticied by some faceless producer somehwere at discovery who decided that putting these two together might get ratings.. don't sweat it, cody can easily carry the program himself or with whoever they choose for him and he can do it without the granola eating hippy personality that discovery tried to assign to him |

He may have embellished/lied on the resume. Not right at the time, not right ever, but he paid the price, both him and his family.
One of the things that makes a man is the way he treats others. Based on that and my experiences with him, there is no question to the type of man he is. Devoted husband, father, family man. Loves to teach and help others succeed, and his patience and loving nature towards the youngsters is something we could all possibly learn from. |

I could give a shit about DC's military experience.
Maybe having not been in the military myself is the reason. What he knows about survival wasn't learned in school, or read in a magazine. It was learned through experience, and in the field. So they got some ultra low drag DB who is like, Tier 0.5. If I had to hear one more time how deep in the shit he was in Afghanistan, or any of the other "I'm the one" shit, I was going to vomit. The fucker drank his piss after Cody told him it was senseless. The Discovery crew needed blindfolded to visit his home? Get real. Is he a hermit and never leaves the house? The pig kill was disturbing, to say the least. |

Instead he blames it on TV, and screens his youtube comments so the real truth isn't told. He's hiding behind some B.S. excuse and still hasn't come clean. He screwed up, he admitted it, he repented of it, and he's apologized for it and asked for forgiveness. As a Christian I have no choice but to forgive the guy. It is this exact moment where the opportunity to help someone become a better person lives.
As far as the show, I think it was better with Dave. He has a lot of videos on youtube from his Pathfinder school that are full of good info. The new guy is just too Bear Grylls for me, and there's really only need for one high-speed piss drinker on tv. Those two need to have a Highlander-style piss chugging showdown. There can be only one! |
