I went ahead and just bought it through Steam a while back so I wouldn't have to worry about updating all the time

Where dafuq is the new jumbo RAPIER?  Also disappointed by the lack of large, sturdy wings.

All mods always break when there is an update is a rule to live by.

Some times they don't... but more often then not they do.

Which is my primary reason I don't use mods... The game has to get to a more stable place development wise... which it may have just done... so that mods stop breaking so much for me to really look into them.

it is weird that I have yet to play career?   I tried it out for a bit to see the basics and the tech tree but never bothered with it.   I will probably check it out with .9, I didn't have time to play last night

It's really pretty challenging.  I've bumped up my science and funds rates a bunch and am on easy and I don't have nearly enough money.

The new missions are a welcome thing...  but also challenging...  Putting satellites into specific orbits or doing science over specific spots.

It's weird but good so far.

I think I'll try it out tonight.   The only reason I've never touched it is because I have no shortage of my own missions to try in sandbox.   I'll get half way through a missions and think, hey I should really do this next, repeat and repeat and repeat

.90 really made it more difficult.

i started a new modified easy start today, took me a while to get orbit, and real orbital vehicles are harder to make since the pad can only support 18t craft and the vab can only do 30 parts to start, its made me rethink building since i have to be simplier in design. Im waiti8ng to get a stable update to a tech tree loader so i can do a plance based then rocket based tree and ill do that on a medium difficulty once it comes out.

.90 is interesting, its definitely hard to start, but once you can get to the Mun it gets alot easier, that first flight with no maneuver nodes and totally manual landing and return brought back some memories.

I'm not all the way through the tree/game/upgrades, but I made .5mil in one mission doing some site fly-by's on the Mun, that enabled me to get my science building to level 2, also made some insane amount of science on the same mission.

I'm still a bit lost when it comes to the kerbal experinece points, I have yet to get anyone to level 2 my pilots are all still at level 1 and my scientists and engineers are all lev 0 with one xp for the scientists.

I have heard both of those are in the works, but not many other details.  The new editor worked wonders for gear placement.  The aerodynamic model changes could be tricky, something like FAR is much more accurate, but not as forgiving.  Perhaps it is something that could be tweaked in the difficulty settings.

It doesn't need to be ultra accurate... adding lift to wings/lifting bodies would do the trick.  Would also be nice to work with big sturdy wing blocks that don't need to be strutted together.  B9 is nice, but always slow to update.

B9 Just released a preview of some nice procedural wings.  Just now trying them out.  I would like to see Squad take that approach.

They need to add part scaling functionality. There is a mod that does this and it's amazing. It's such a brain dead simple feature that you would think they would have. So if there's a 1m part you wish you had a larger or smaller version of for some purpose, you can just scale it up and the game makes the necessary calculations for the mass, thrust, etc.

Is that another ship nestled inbetween the engines? Also are those all stock parts or a mod?

Delta V from the launch pad is 9,900 m/s according to Kerbal Engineer.  That leaves me over 5,000 m/s in low orbit, so it can get pretty much anywhere.  My station is at 650 km, which is where I refuel, pick up a payload and transfer.  So far it is being used for transport to Duna/Eve stations and back.  A career mode ship, so I refuel and keep on space trucking.

Quoted:Is that another ship nestled inbetween the engines? Also are those all stock parts or a mod?

It is a fuel tank, a little clipping to make things pretty, but nothing hidden away.  All stock parts on this career save, only engineer for info and Procedural Fairing later on because I need pretty rockets.  Also using Alarm Clock and ScienceAlert make multiple missions at one time easier.  I am really trying to avoid wasting time in game from long time warps, my Jool missions are still en route.

Help!

Ok, so I've installed KSP .90 on my MAC and it works flawlessly.  I then installed FAR, and again no issues.  Then when I installed [0.90] B9 Aerospace | Release 5.2.8 (updated 30.12.14) it freezes on loading here:

So I decided to uninstall everything and start from scratch.  I reinstalled KSP 0.90 and loaded it, it worked fine.  Once again I installed the B9 Aerospace Mod and it got stuck in the loading screen, same place.  So I thought maybe I had a corrupted B9 Aerospace ZIP file so I downloaded it from a different source, reinstalled both KSP and B9.  No luck it always gets stuck right there and it's not like the game screen freezes as those whitty comments still change at their regular frequency.

Here are my system specs and current usage

Any help you guys could give would be fantastic, thanks

But the mod should have a thread in the Mods section of the KSP forums which should be full of people more capable of helping.

here this thread should be the place: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/92630-0-25-B9-Aerospace-Release-5-2-6-%28updated-22-10-14%29

Are those the ones Robazz uses in his videos where he made a giant cube?

I'm currently using the B9 Mod and when I build a rocket with the Universal X3 and X4 structures and go to launch, the damn thing slides down through itself (like and antenna that collapses) and the falling sections crash into the launchpad causing it to explode....  I've tried struts, the I-beam which is really too tiny and the B9 structural support plates, but to no avail.  I watched one of Robazz videos where he's building the jotenheimer (sp?) barge and the first pice he places is what I'l looking for
