I've seen my fair share of dead people. They were all in caskets though.  Her face doesn't look limp enough but still, it's saddening.

Coming soon, to a theatre near....... Chicago, or Detroit.

The place is totalled. Amazing amount of damage; yet there are still a few beautiful places which have gone untouched. But they are getting rarer, and the wrecking crew is far from finished in Syria.

I checked out all of the photos in the link. The captioning says she and her mother are in a hospital waiting to be treated.

McCain would already have us heavily involved in the war.  He's as much as promised it. Then, when the leadership turned out not to be accommodating, our involvement would escalate and deepen while civilians died in ever greater numbers.

It's not as if all this stuff is not predictable.  Credit Obama for keeping us out of this.  I think even Romney would have had the sense to back the hell off and not buy this one.

I hate obama and his joke of a foreign policy just much as everyone else here but I think that right there is why the obama administration has made no real moves towards intervening in syria. bashir is a violent as fuck dictator that true but are the rebel forces any better?

You mean how he kept us out of Libya?
We didn't provide air support (and possibly logistics) to allow a group of terrorists to overthrow a dictator, seize his weapons and "redistribute" them to the Syrian rebels (and Al Queda).
Also, our CIA wasn't involved after the fact dealing with these weapons.... Culminating with the death of 4 Americans.
Yup, glad we didn't get involved.

We also did a great job of staying out of Egypt. Just shoveled cash at people who hate us.
And all the other "Arab spring" nations.

Of course when a legitimate pro western group got riled up and demanded change in another middle eastern nation ruled by dictators with American blood on their hands, we fucking ignored them.

McCain was on the same page as Obama regarding Libya and the rest of the Arab spring. He's one of the first guys to defend Obama when someone on the right criticizes our current policies in the middle east.

Now that the election is over Obama and his team will drop the charade. It was amazing to see a guy who's incited multiple violent revolutions and toppled at least one other country try to paint his political opponent as a warmonger, but then again the GOP foriegn policy is that retarded. I'm convinced that half the Republican party doesn't want to disagree with Obama's decisions out of some peverse loyalty to Bush's legacy.

Tragic, but I'd rather see Bashar al-Assad in charge than the muslim brotherhood.  Hard to tell which is more oppressive to it's own people, but the current regime is probably less harmful to the US.
